    I've got a 2011 C2S and have those exact wheels on it, at least they look exactly like those. They are called turbo wheels and there were an option from the factory. I don't think my S is considered a wide body car.

    Just a heads up if you have a CS or rear tires that are 295/30-R19. There are not a whole lot of options out there but right now Tirerack is selling Continental Extremecontact DWS for $116 each. That is over half off anything similar. I put these on a previous 2006 C2 that I had and was pretty happy with them. The are all season so you're not going to win a track race, but for year round use on the street they were pretty good. Quite and didn't wear so fast like summer only tires.

    Sorry, I meant to write C2S as in Carrera 2 S and yes it is a 997.2.

    Does anyone know how to figure out what interior color and level of leather you have? I bought a 2011 CS used that I thought had sand beige full leather. But it is much darker than the previous 2006 I had with sand beige. I think I may have Natural Brown. If so would that be the "Natural" that is a higher grade leather than normal? The codes listed in the book are L84A and 06. I know the L84A is for Guards Red. Thanks for any help.

    I've currently got a 2006 Carrera. Had it for 6 years and absolutely love it. Put 40k miles on myself with no problems. It will be tough to do, but I'm looking at trading up to a 997 GTS rear RWD PDK. I was wondering if there are any known problems with the type? Reasons to stay away from it such as the bearing issues of pre 2005 engines? Thanks for any input

    Someone really screwed up the cup holder grommet (the rubber grommet with thread insert that the cup holder unit screws, screws into) the last time the cup holder was out. I had to take the unit out again and the rubber grommet with thread insert is unusable. Can someone help me out with the part number? I'll need to order another one. Thanks. Sorry, I should have stated what I drive. 2006 C2 tip. Thanks.

    Thanks for the replys. I do have the tiptronic. I thought the center radiator was the a/c condenser.

    I have a 2006 C2 and do not have a black cover in the center of the front bumper (I believe the a/c condenser is in the center front). There is a dude where I work that has had a 2005 C2S and now a 2006 C4S cab and both had the center radiator covered up. Am I missing something on my car or do the straight C2s not have the cover? Sorry, no pictures.

    I've done a search and didn't find exactly what I needed because of all the different brakes that porsches come with. I have a 2006 C2 and I'd like to know what the minimum thickness is of the brake rotors. I probably won't get them turned down, but I would like to know when they should be replaced. Thanks again.

    What is the consensus around here? Do the vibration dampers always need to be replaced when the brake pads are replace? Or how can one tell if they need to be replaced? Thanks.

    Just figured I write about my experience to help people out in the future. I've got a 06 C2 that I bought used, so prior history is unknown. Sometimes at speeds 60mph and higher, there would be a kazoo noise coming from the passenger side windsheild at what I thought was the dash/side view mirror area. I looked at everything in the area, removing panels ect. and nothing fixed it. I looked at TSB 6416 but didn't think much about it because it showed the area in question was at the top of the windshield. One day I was looking around again, and sure enough, the seal around the windshield was loose on the passanger side up high (side of the windshield, not top). I purchased some butyl tape (per TSB) off Amazon.com, 1/4" round 3M, and followed the TSB installation and I can say now the noise has gone away. It was very annoying and I even took the car into the dealer, but of course they couldn't duplicate the noise. Renntech and the TSBs came through

    Something rattles when the wing is down on my car. Gets quite annoying as it can get loud. When I manualy extend the wing it goes away for the most part. Anyone have an idea on where it is coming from or what peice could be rattleing? Thanks.

    I don't drive mine on the track so when I got a new set of tires I told the alignment shop to split the difference between P spec and flat for rear camber. I'm sure that goes against everything porsche does but it is rediculous having to replace a tire due to 1% of it wearing out. I've driven as fast as I want on the street and have felt no instability or problems with the camber less than stock. On the street, you probably couldn't feel a difference even if they were absolutely flat. But what do I know, Porsche goes as far as specifying tire brand and model, let alone size.

    Thanks. So how do you do this with the trunk lid closed? Even with the special tool it looks a little dodgy.

    I was looking through the list of options on my 06 C2 and found I199 Battery Disconnection Switch. Where is this and is it something you can manually disconnect the battery? Thanks.

    Anyone know the dimensions for the oil pan crush washer? I noticed Advanced Auto has a bunch of those type washers. Thanks.

    I'm going to say its the tires as well. Mine was rock solid before I put on new tires and after the steering seemed really light and the car a little twitchy. I also had the alignment person split the difference between porsche specs and flat for camber on the rear because I didn't like the inside wearing so much faster. I still have few miles on the new tires so I'll wait a little longer before I make any adjustments. I can tell you one thing, the ride sure is a lot smoother and quieter with new tires. BTW I also put on all season Conti DWS.

    That is right around what I purchased a 2006 C2 with 10K miles and CPO from a Porsche dealer back in Dec 09. I feel like I got a great deal. Haven't regretted it.

    Well, I went ahead and ordered 295/35 for the rears. I asked the shop where they will be put on the rims and they said they shouldn't have a problem putting that fat a tire on 10" rims. Everything online says it's OK. I'll try and remember to report back once I get some miles on the new tires

    I have a 2006 C2 with stock 18" X 10" wheels and 265/40 tires on the rear. I cannot find that size in the tire I want to buy. Tirerack.com recommends a 295/35 instead. Does anyone run a 295 wide tire on 10" wheel's? I've used online calculators and they say 295 tires can go on 10" rims and the diameter difference would only be 0.84% from stock. Just wondering if they can be put on and if they are safe and if they drive alright. Thanks.
