  1. Everything is up to date. Something is getting in the way of my accessing the file. I just cleared all the history, etc in MSIE8; and still get the same error message. I'll give it another try in Firefox. Edit. Went into Firefox and cleared Porsche.com Cookies. Then it worked fine. I guess it left a cookie from when I was last there. Now I wonder when they're going to update the list. It's really a shame that they don't have something like the Mercedes-Benz Electronic Parts List (EPC). In that one, you enter your VIN and it will only bring up parts specific to your vehicle. It is an excellent tool; and is 100% free for North America users; although I'm pretty sure that there is something similar available for Europe. the file is 20 Mb in size, if your e-mail accepts the size, I can send it to you :) edit: oh, sorry, you ment the 2007+ Cayenne Pdf. That does not work for me either, and I am in Europe :(
  2. Aham... so said the dealer, it means I have no use for the navigation DVD I bought, I should buy the Navigation CD instead, if i'd only asked before :cursing:
  3. The link works :) Thank you ! edit: yeah, the link works, but the download stops for no reason at some point... edit 2: now it worked :)
  4. Is there a website, where I can look-up parts for Cayenne models ? Something like "realoem" for BMW: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do?kind=...ng=L&arch=0 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mode...hg=11&fg=05
  5. Well, the car is a Cayenne Turbo - 2004, navigation system, on PCM. In the manual, they say the dvd unit is under the right front seat, but it is not. Where do I insert the navi CD, in the dash, in the PCM ???? The message on the display is " INSERT NAVIGATION CD" I understood, i need a CD not the DVD... Is this correct ? This is a PIC of my PCM system... is it PCM 2 ?
  6. good question, I was wondering the same thing. Also, the protective screen can be removed ? there are some strange spots under the screen, looks like dust or something... <_<
  7. Well, I've jumpstarted the car and took it for one hour drive, now it seems to be ok... I will have the battery replaced at the dealer, problem is they will open on the 4th of january. I've read the manual, if the case I could give it a try and change it myself. Thank you and a Happy New Year to everyone :)
  8. Please advise, what type of battery do I need for a Cayenne Turbo 2004 - the one under the seat... i can't find this in the manual, and dealers are closed for holidays :( Bosh/varta would be fine ? but what amps etc etc... Can I do this myself, or should I find some opened garage ? I've looked at the instructions, but, after the swap, do I lose some settings... etc ? **** car, it died on me this morning, no signs before today, and I must travel to Austria tomorrow :help: Other car is stuck at dealer untill 4th of Jan PS: can it be recharged ? at least to hold untill spring or something ???
  9. you mean the exterior plastic protection, or the xenon lens ? I guess you could, but then, if not put back correctly and/or properly seald, it will collect water and affect the inside electronics in the end.
  10. When I fully accelerate, kick-down, the turbo gauge shows about 0,4 - 0,5 bar... but it reads up to 0.8. Does it ever go up to 0.8, or more than 0.5 ? how, when ?
  11. Very well put, thank you for your comment :) Well, as I detailed in another thread, I need to change the ABS unit, so I am running without PSM or ABS, on icy roads and snow... well the sensations I get these days, truly tops the ones I have in my BMW M6  I hope the unit will arrive soon at the dealer, it freaks me out driving with no electronics whasoever, a 2.7 ton truck, on icy surfaces... I might as well drive the BMW, it's the same deal right now :D Anyways, I wish you all the best for this Christmas guys !
  12. So how much does Porsche charge for a new battery ? On my BMW M6, they charged something like 700 USD, for a new BMW M6 Battery...
  13. Sorry, now it works... maybe Windows is messing with me :P Great info, I will try this tomorrow, as in Romania, we have a lot of snow and icy roads at this time :) Thank you :) PS: Please, what about that temperature issue I mentioned above ?
  14. My point exactly... :) The 4wd "standard" so to speak, is great, but I would like to get the advantage of all those settings, yet I do not know how to use them best. The link above does not work  PS: the water temperature on my cayenne Turbo, sometimes goes above "middle"... just 2-3 mm... is this normal ? Dealer sais it's ok... Just sometimes, then drops below middle...
  15. I can turn it off, using the menu from the dashboard. I go to "main menu", then you find the sub menu for Tyre Monitoring. There you will find the option to turn off the Monitoring. After this, you will get every time you start the car "Monitoring OFF" message.
  16. Yes I got the pneumatic suspension, I don't know what is this off road technology, If I play with the switch it says something like: Locked front (sorry Center maybe), locked etc... on the display. How do I go into "low gear on the tranfer case" ? This is a picture of the switches on my car (for pneumatic susp, shocks and 4wd) :
  17. Question is: which settings are to be used when getting stuck in snow with Cayenne (no winter tires) ? I am talking about that switch for locking/unlocking front/rear dif... etc etc, the one in the left, below the gear stick. Since now I get PSM and ABS Failure, the wheels are spining without control untill they smoke... Christ !!!
  18. Well... no, the report remained at the dealer, ****. I am under the impression they are screwing with me, this explains maybe all my questions -_- I felt the ABS kicking in, on three wheels, except for one - REAR LEFT ! Of course, the message on the dash is "PSM, ABS Failure...bla bla" Your input is very helpfull, thank you for this :)
  19. Ok, i will check this out. Anyway, is it possible, that only one sensor (on a wheel) could be defective ? and so I get this PSM + ABS Failure message ? And maybe the control unit is fine ?
  20. Ok, thank you very much. :) One more thing please... Is there a way to check my VIN, against other models, to see what other vehicles are compatible with my car, in terms of this ABS module ? A site or whatever... I suspect the dealer to overcharge my bills  edit: what is TSB ?... Sorry i am not familliar with the terms...
  21. Well, I get this error (PSM Failure, ABS Workshop... something like that), and ABS does not work... stability program does not work also. They told me at the dealership, that the ABS module is fried. Hmmm, ok, but: 1. Is the ABS module controling the PSM also ? 2. Can I use one from a damaged Cayenne, to replace this one ? they are charging close to 1500 eur for a new one... 3. Is it interchangable with what Cayenne Models ? Please advise :) Mine is a 2004 Cayenne Turbo. I've already change parts in amount of allmost 3000 euros in 2 days... jeez, c'mon
  22. Got it, since tommorow I will leave it at the dealer, I will also mention what you suggested. Thak you.
