  1. Loren, Something funny happened with my race car and I don't know what it is... The RPM should have been a white wire and the throttle position a yellow and black. I could never find the yellow and black but I did find the white and guess what... NOTHING was logging. I finally got the RPM signal from the violet/green wire in the OBD II plug, conveniently located in the middle of the rear section. Thanks for everything! JM No, it's a cup car so the OBD II plug is in the middle, behind the only seat. JM

  3. Close but no cigar yet. It's the diagram that shows every pin that goes in the DME e.g. pin 80 = rpm signal pin 81 = ... etc My manuals (pdf versions...) has everything except that! I have the 964 and 993 manuals and they have a very simple page with a view of the connector and next to each pin the function... TIA JM This, but for the 2001 GT3, is what I'm looking for (and it may be that it's very similar for the Gt3 to what is here below...) This for a 1999 C2. GT3 ECU Pins

Can someone please let me know the pin code on the pre 2001 ECU? I can't find it in any of my manuals and need it for a data logger - this is for a cup car but until 2001 the ecus were the same THX JM
  5. I'm working on the same projects for my wife's Cayenne S and my dad's 2003... Call Eli at Pelican Parts. He says you just need 2 harnesses and the Litronics (ebay is a good place for that)... JM
  6. Has anyone succesffull upgraded an 03 car to Litronics? I've read all the posts and it would seem that new harnesses are needed on both sides of the car - possibly not that big a deal... Would love first hand feedback and part numbers if you have them... I also mailed Eli at Pelican and Gert. If I get anything back I'll post for all to see. I'd like to do this over xmas. JM
  7. So guys, was this thread ever closed? Has anyone figured it out?
  8. Guys, I remember that Gert and a group were trying to figure it out. Anyone cracked the nut? Looking for a Xmas present for my dad and if I knew how to do it, I think that he would love this in his 2003 996 JM
  9. Thanks. Very interesting but I need H3B lights Worth looking at through! All the best JM
  10. Guys, Has anyone tried to install a Xenon retrofit kit other than the Porsche OEM? I am very interested in doing it in my F360 and can't find anyone who's done it to talk about it... TIA JM
  11. The High Speed has the same 2 wires as the one I sold you. The only worry I have is whether I need to install some electric circuit in-between the radio and the phone. i also have a blue tooth earpiece but hate it... Plus with an 8700 RPM redline V8, the earpiece blocks some of the music ;) We need to talk about Quaker... JM
  12. Guys, I purchased a 360 Modena in the Uk and want to install a traffic pro high speed and Nokia blue tooth car kit. I was wondering if I could run the sound from the phone through the radio rather than a seperate speaker. I seem to remember doing that a few years back but I'm really not sure anymore... Can someone help? Oh and BTW, if someone has done this in a 360, please e-mail me... TIA JM jrotsaert@btinternet.com
  13. I have a cable ready made. It's not as simple as it seems. You need to build a frequency converter in the wire. See details at http://www.cb-racing.com/logger-installation.htm I recommend that you e-mail Christopher Brown at CB Racing He did it for his Boxster and sold me the same that he had done (version 1 did not have the frequency converted and did not work well) All the best JM
  14. Many thanks for taking the time to do this for me. See the issue, is that my calipers are currently off (had them powder coated red) and I couldn't find out how to get the cylinders to pop out gently... I guess I'll do it once they will be connected to the brake system Thanks again JM
  15. Thanks for that. I do have the old ones off already. Do you mean that I just need to pop them in the new ones? It seems very odd as the bit that needs to go under the groove under the piston will presumably never catch the lip then.... Maybe I didn't get it. I thought that I needed to get the pistons out first... Any further clarification you can give me would be greatly appreciated Thanks JM
  16. Guys, Had my black calipers powder coated red. Great stuff, however the guy that did the job did not mask the seals and there are now ready to crack (not because of the heat, because of the paint...). I ordered replacement seals from Gert but I am struggling understand how to install them and cannot find anything about them in the workshop manuals... Anyone can help? Thanks JM
  17. Could someone please tell me what connector pin on the PCM II I can connect my bluetooth interrupt line to? My manuals stop in 2001 and I need the 2003 version... TIA JM
  18. Jean-Marc, will you do the left-hand drive to right-hand drive DIY kit before you go to London or after you get there? :D Done already... 997 C2S ordered, delivery September '04... I'm taking the 996 with me though!
  19. Karl, It did that was in my car also and the PCMII that I have in my new car also does it... Not sure why, but I'm pretty sure that it's "normal" JM in Dallas and soon to be in London!
  20. You don't need anything for the front. Porsche has 2 holes along the front of the body that they use for when the cars get on the boats. You put a hook in there and with a long strap bring them in X shape to the back of the trailer. For the back, I used the autometrics parts or going through the wheels - I was always worried about my alignment doing that but really never felt any problem JM
  21. Does your car have a stock air filter? Quite a few people that messed with the air intake back in 1999 reported similar problems JM
  22. I would say time for a dealer visit... My language loads in less then 2 minutes when I change CDs... Sorry JM
  23. No they don't. BTW, if you're interested I have brand new yellow seat belts for '98-01 cars that I will let go for 50 cents on the dollar JM
  24. I did the install following Loren's TSB and had no issues at all. I'd say that it's a 3 to 4 hr job REALLY taking your time and counting 30 minutes to lift the car JM
