  1. The OBD2 tester at Checker Auto returns a P0410 code which it says is "secondary air injection system". Is that correct? Is it OK to drive the car with that CEL issue? Thanks for any help you folks can provide, Greg
  2. I am picking up our new to us 2000 Boxster in

Knoxville TN later this week. I am looking

forward to driving it on Deals Gap and the

Cherohala Skyway before heading home to CO.

  3. I am now a contributing member. How do I get the PDF file?
  4. What tire air pressure are you folks using? The recomended numbers from Porsche or something else? Lower pressures for spirited street driving? Different pressures for maximum mileage? Any help would be appreciated. I know that for my motorcycles using pressures different from those recoended by SuZuki result in better tire mileage and handling. Take care, Greg I apologize if this subject has been frequently discussed before. I searched this forum and could not find any such messages.
  5. Thank you so much for the assistance. 5218 is the code that finally worked. That was plus 102 to your 5116 number. Thanks again, Greg
  6. No problem. Tbe more the better. All 6 cylinders of mine are in the high 140's and leakdown is less than 9%! I wonder if this car has a newer engine in it. I have bought it and am flying to TN next week to pick it up. Deals Gap and Cherohala Skyway here I come:) WHat a great board!!! Thanks again everyone for your help, Greg
  7. Help, I need tbe code for a 2000 Boxster S with: CDR-220 with the Digital Radio option Serial #: Y5036531 Thank you very much, Greg
  8. Does anyone have a window sticker for a 2000 Boxster S that you could scan and send to me at gcheney@usa.net? I just don't want to spend the $100 for the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. Thank you for any assistance you can provide, Greg
  9. Thank you for the quick reply. I will post the results of the tests later. Greg
  10. I am going to have compression and leak down tests done on a 2000 Boxster S with 94,000 miles on it. What should the readings be to indicate a "good engine"? Thank you for any info you can provide, Greg
