  1. Ouch!! At work now, I'll look into it further later in the week. I guess you can get a replacement diaphragm separate to the whole clutch unit. I really don't want to pull it apart if the car works ok now. When I drove to work this morning I noticed a slight vibe in the clutch pedal when fully depressed. Otherwise the clutch behaved well. Does anyone have any tips for further diagnosis? Cheers, Matt
  2. OK, I've had my '01 Boxster S (986) for almost a year now. As my first Porsche I wasn't too sure how firm the clutch should feel. My clutch wad quite firm but manageable. Driving yesterday, I shifted down to second & felt something give in the clutch pedal. Now the clutch is much lighter but still operating. I can't feel any slippage & I performed the funtional check on the clutch pedal (pulling up on it to feel for play) & it's all good. Should I be concerned? Should I investigate further? Cheers, Matt
  3. Loren, Yet again thanks for the info! I'll post any findings. Cheers, Matt
  4. ARModen, I was in a similar situation with two keys, one worked perfectly & the other wouldn't work as a remote. I also tried all the previous suggestions to no avail. I noticed that the LED flashed differently (one small flash versus the sustained flash on the working remote coincident with button pressure). I believe it's a problem with the button on the circuit board. Does anyone know where/if you can buy replacement key electronic parts, ie the button switch? Cheers, Matt
  5. Not as good as that kit but just to let you know, I purchased a goLink cable & downloaded the free goLink iPhone app which allows me to pull the OBD2 codes & sensor inputs onto my iPhone. Works pretty well & charges the iPhone at the same time, so technically I suppose you could dock the iPhone each time you drive & look for trends if you so wish. The data is squirted off to FuzzyLuke, which logs most of it on your (free) account. No, I don't work for any of the above-mentioned (I work for an airline), I just thought I'd throw it into the ring for info. I too would like to get hold o a cheap solution for the PST2 so I could do more jobs (eg. bleed brakes on my S with PSM). Cheers, Matt www.fuzzyluke.com http://gopointtech.com/blog/2009/10/13/golink-is-worlds-first-obd-ii-iphone-accessory/
  6. Loren, Thank you very much for the prompt reply, I'll have a squizz at my readings tomorrow & compare! Cheers, Matt
  7. Sorry to jump in on this one but I was wondering what is an average airflow reading for a 986 S (2001 model) at idle & 2000RPM. I can't check mine at the moment as I am away from the vehicle & OBDII reader but as I'm new to all this I've been trying to decipher my car's data. Thanks in advance. Matt
