  1. Can I use one of the ODB2 interfaces and software of ebay, with my laptop, or do I need a specialised unit? Cheers Rav
  2. Hi All, I have a 1998 996 Carrera Tiptronic-S. Its been running fine for the first two years I've owned it. In the last few months I have had problems with my gearbox. Here are the issues I have encountered in chronological order: 1) When I start the car and put it in drive, the D light flashes. If I then put it in park and back to drive it goes into gear fine. Manual mode works intermitantly. 2) Put the car in drive and D flashes. To get it back into gear, I have to put it in park and pull it into drive quite hard. Auto mode works fine, manual mode works intermitantly. 3) I can put it into drive but only with the flashing D light. Auto mode fine, no manual mode. 4) Finaly it only stays in drive with D flashing. I have to keep the gearleaver pulled back when I'm driving or it falls out of gear. Park - Neutral - Reverse change with no problem I'm guessing it's just a cable adjustment, could anyone give me some guide lines on how to adjust. Thanks in advance Ravi
  3. It's okay I've sorted it, downloaded the becker code calculator and I have sound :clapping:
  4. Hi, I've got an active subwoofer kicking around and was thinking of putting it behind my rear seats. Is there any power in that area? If nor where's the best place to run power to it. I was going to feed it off my back speakers. Also could you let me know how I can get hold of the door boxes. Thanks Ravi
  5. Hi Loren, I'm in the same boat, car's been off the road over winter and radio's locked. Details: Becker CDR-21 S/N: V5010128 Thanks for your patience. Ravi :help:
