  1. Seriously? Nobody has put a sub in the trunk of the car? I've searched the forums but can't find anything useful. Anyone? Please? I just purchased the Boxster and haven't made any audio upgradess other than replacing the blown dash speakers. I like the idea of the rear shelf sub woofer and the upgraded door enclosures. I have a rear engine 12 cylinder Ferrari that I mounted an amp in the front bonnet of. The battery is already up there so it was a clean installation. A friend of mine with the same Ferrari actually mounted a 12" sub woofer up there along with the amp. I was amazed that it sounded as good as it did. There is no rear boot on the Fcar so the front bonnet is the only option. If you mount yours up front be sure to post some pics, I'd like to see how it comes out. Kelly
  2. I removed the old Boxster logo with a single pass of dental floss. I used Goo B Gone Automotive to get the residual adhesive off of the painted surface of the trunk lid. I waxed the lid to remove the Goo B Gone. The new logo was reapplied and all is good again. It took less than 60 minutes for the entire job.
  3. You need to get your alarm fault code(s) read. Thanks for the interior lighting/alarm advice Loren. I'll post my updates soon. By the way, I used another one of your posts this weekend to replace the Tiptronic shifter button. It was an easy upgrade, thanks for posting the pictures and instructions. I would have never figured out how to remove the old button without those pictures.
  4. Thanks for posting. I have the same problem and am looking for a solution. The trunk and bonnet and interior lights come on when the door is open and the key is on but no lights anywhere before the key is turned. I haven't checked the alarm yet. I hope someone posts a solution here soon or off to the dealership I go with checkbook in hand.
