  1. Yes, this is my car, here's the link to the supplier: http://www.lltek.com/porschtek/homeportek.htm  Larry
  2. Did you buy the complete head light washer assembly, see attached photo. After doing two cars, four washer assemblies, I removed the bottom stem and then installed the entire new assembly by holding down the assembly while another person turned on the head light washer. I had the added problem of dealing with the thickness of the Techart head light covers and this was the only way I could get the assembly installed. The chrome cover is easy to break when you try to take it on and off the stem. Good luck, Larry
  3. You posted this same photo on Babblers as a chicken crashed through the windshield, get a life
  4. Here's the Porsche listing from Quiafe's web site. On Monday I will check with Tim Benson, Fastlane Porsche Repair and get back with his answer. Good luck, Larry <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jinster, Tim doesn't know best if you call Patrick Motorsports. Good luck, Larry

  7. Cloud cover is still present so this is the best I can do today.
  8. Just curious, since you cemented the covers on...why didn't you just paint the headlights? I thought the Techart covers could be removed? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haven't seen the headlights painted, would like to see an example. Don't know if you could remove the cemented covers, not sure why I would remove them. If I wanted to do that I would just buy new head lights.
  9. Tim was in-between helpers so I pull out the transaxel and Tim installed the differential and I put it back in the car after he also replaced the rear main seal. Sure learned allot working with him. The important point about the RMS replacement is that the engine had 3,500 miles since being installed. This a 3.4L 996 E-gas motor new from Porsche. Will talk to Tim next week. Larry
  10. Got them from the Techart dealer in LA. http://www.cecwheels.com/ Had them painted at a local body shop, installed them by taking the headlight assembly out to cement the cover on, used card board and wire ties to hold them on while the cement dried over night. I got the complete washer inserts (Porsche dealer) which the body shop painted. The cement comes with the covers. Good Luck, Larry
  11. Installed the headlight covers and painted washer covers. The thickness of the headlight cover makes it difficult to insert the washer head units. The trick is to have one person hold the washer cover and the second person turns on the headlight washer.
  12. :drive: Last Sunday we drove the car for the first time with the LSD and what a ride! It was the last PCA-LPR autoX of the season with 47 drivers with around 35 cars. The results have not been posted yet but we may have run 2nd and 3rd over all with a ultra light full race 914 in first place. I can tell you there were some 911's working very hard to beat the Monster Boxster. But the real credit goes to the Quaife torque biasing differential, we accelerated faster and corner much faster. You can view Quaife's web site: http://www.quaifeamerica.com/ Three parts were purchased from Patrick Motorsports in Phoenix: 1. Quaife Torque Biasing Differential, 2. Side Cover, 3. Bearing. Total with shipping $1,827.51. This is the best single mod that I have done in terms of performance improvement.
  13. Capitola, next to Santa Cruz, California, central coast Monterey Bay. Best climate in the world. Larry
  14. Larry Did you get a chance to get the part number for the clutch? Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, had a alarm condition on my boat down in the Harbor. This EVO link will ID the pressure plate/ clutch, your locate Porsche parts dealer can ID the correct Sach's P/N which could be cheaper than EVO. http://www.evoms.com/porsche%20ec%20art.htm I got my parts guy to look at the EVO site and gave me the parts, I didn't retain the P/N data. Good luck, Larry
  15. Check with your Porsche parts suppliers most will handle Sach products. If you need part numbers I will beable to get them tomorrow, let me know. Good luck, Larry
