  1. my pressured dropped to 0.8 at idle with a hot engine, this was with 0W40 oil. I got a little worried and have changed my oil to mobil1 5W50, now I have a pressure of 1,8 bar with a warm engine, about 1.3 with a VERY hot engine on a hot day. Much better. But now pressure is at the maximum of the scale, 5, when revs are > 2500 RPM.. Is that too high? Will it destroy oil seals?
  2. over 130000 miles on my 1999 996 Carrera convertible. Never been serviced by specialists, just diy oils and filter changes. Not have had any problems yet. Most of the time I shift at 5000 RPM but it gets revved to the red every week a few times for short moments. My first minor problem has developped now, I've got a small oil leak, it drips on the exhaust so will have to investigat the cause. I live in the Nethelands, but have a US-spec car...
