  18. not that hard to get out, it only took about three hours

  19. yes, at a friends shop

  20. I have the transmission out and was planing on just replacing the torque converter but now im wondering if i should just replace the whole transmission

  21. not yet, will know in a few days

  22. Hey Loren I have a question for you and hoping for some help, I have a 2001 porsche boxster with a bad tiptronic transmission I found a good low milage 1999 transmission with torque converter, will this year transmission work and do i have to change control units if so? thanks for the help

  23. Let me know if you fix yours, I have to fix this its just no fun to drive. I might start taking it apart tomorrow or friday

  24. I talked to a guy at German transaxle and he said it is probably the torque converter going bad, i would like to change the valve body first but its not an easy part to find, guess ill start looking for a torque converter

  25. let me know if it fixes your surging, I'm going to do some research to find out if its the hydraulic control unit in the transmission, most people call it the valve body if so that can be done while the transmission is in the car, maybe its the speed sensors in the transmission, I hope its not a bad transmission
