  2. if you are going with the x74 please let me know because some stupid guy broke one of the screw of my right upper mount,. if your old one is available for sale I am interested in buying it thanks please pm me
  3. When my friend changed my shocks and springs, when every thing is done and while we putting it back to the car... he over tighten one of the 3 bolts and strip off the whole bolt... in the front right side of the car.... What should I call when I reorder this part with the parts department. or part number..... is it strut tower mount?... or something else... while I am ordering for it. is there other options., I can chose, like the pss or performance part for it thanks in advance
  4. I used the universial route clamped the wire... did not solder.. came out with some new code regarding the resistance of the o2 sensor is too high... thats why I am now trying out the direct plug and play replacment I bought mine for my 1999 C4 at Autohausaz. Great price for the right Bosch part...shouldn't have to modify anything - "plug and play" Here's the link: http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.a...Oxygen%20Sensor Aloha, 808C4 :)
  5. called sunset they are unable to locate this part number., can any body help., its the one in the engine bay... not in the front of the car
  6. Can any body tell me where I can get some pre cat oxygen sensor replacement at a good price., I don't want to go Sunset import route for those extra mark out with just a porsche logo stamped on it thanks
  7. get it from a VW dealer., its a 20 dollars part yes it sounds like the actual ignition switch needs replacing as this is the component that has the 'gates' and springs of the various key positions in it. some people think its the housing but without switch on the housing you can simply turn the key without any resistance. so change the switch first! Thnx for your reply if i replace the switch should i go to the dealer? coz in my country we only have one dealer which i have to ship my car. does the switch come with a new key or still use the old one?:) porsche dealer wont supply switch. they will only supply it with whole lock housing. you need to get it from audi or vw dealer as its same. if you take yours off you will see the part number. you dont get keys or anything. just switch! its about £10 here in uk.
  8. I am sure., because it the steering wheel was there for at least 6 months before the light comes on.... well I guess I 'll have to go in again to see whats wrong
  9. Does any body know where is the plug for the cam aucator for the bank 2 is. I keep getting the p1529 error even the car is at idle .. when I tried to clear the code with only the ignition on and the engine not running., the code can be cleared. However when I start the engine the code would come back right away without even revving it at all. I want to see if the plug has somehow came off or the wires are bad.. thanks
  10. Hum., the funny thing is I can access the airbag controller using the durametic tool., ... when the tool can still talk to the controller would that narrow it down to something else?... its kind of weird.... are there any airbag fuse somewhere because I looked at the fuse box near the foot well., the paper did not say there is a fuse for the airbag there... I think you need to find someone with a PST2 or PIWIS tester to confirm the fault and also run diagnostics to narrow down the fault. The airbag controller is pretty expensive (about $573 MSRP as I recall) so I would make sure before doing that. You'd hate to find a broken or frayed wire later...
  11. Loren I took the airbag off and checked the wiring it looks like the plug is intact, ... what would you suggest next... it seems the triggering unit for airbag is faulty then?
  12. I have switched from 4 spoke to 3 spoke about a year ago., let me take the thing off to see if its became lose. thans Loren
  13. Have a airbag light with error 21 pulled from durametric ., does any body know what does this code means?
  14. Want to know if the Durametric will be able to do some test like the purge valve closing and opening on the fuel tank or I need the PST2 to do it. thanks
  15. Getting P3000-3 1126 1124 0455 . the code comes back on after reset.. I have already changed a new MAF and GAS CAP.,. still getting these same code., what would the cause be.... its bothering me.... what should a normal MAF reading be at idle ?..... in terms of gm/s or lb/min....
  16. 99 996 US Car jumps from close loop to open loop and back several times at idle. and the airflow reads only around 0.8lb/inch at idle.... is this reading correct. or it is leaking somewhere to cause the intake not getting enough air? I had a p300-4 code at idle once after I changed the battery this afternoon.
  17. Found it thanks... took 2 hours try to take it out... ... unsuccessful... lots of things blocking it.. I took off the coolant pipe... still unable to turn the screw... is there any way to take it off? I hope not to take off the compressor
  18. got a hall sensor from Jeff from sunset... for my bank 2 cam error code. nows the problem., can any body that has a PET show me a diagram where exactly this bank 2 sensor is on the engine?.. I can't seem to find it
  19. Recently hearing some buzzzz sound from the passenger near the front fender... and once in a while the car will take at least 10 seconds in cranking time before it could start. It seem like it dosen't have enough fuel or something... I have the following codes P0446 - I know thats the bank 2 cam sensor. I haven't really get a chance to go check it out or replace the sensor .. HOW Hard is it to replace it anyways? P1539 - 1126 - 1124... I assume all these code are related because they all pop up at the same time... I have a feeling the Fuel pump is dieing or the fuel filter is clogged... OR MAY BE SOMETHING else that somebody can charm in and help... I already have a replacement fuel filter sitting on my table.. I just didn't get a chance to change it I have a 99 C2 US thanks
  20. I have this problem too,. the funny thing is I had 1531 at first., cleared it away., and now its 1539... I didn't switch the sensor... loren , from under the car, where exactly can I see that sensor... I am not sure if I lossen the connector when i install the header.. if there is any thing to do with it
  21. No no, I am only getting one code on the bank one, ....
  22. Loren., do you have a factory part diagram for the sensor and the actuator itself? i think I need to replace them ...
