  1. Also looked for idle adaption in piwis doesn’t seem to have that as option just dme system adaption which doesn’t do anything.
  2. So I was wrong with my fault code ...code 22 was set..not present dtc..I checked my iacv valve via drive links-ok..bench tested ok..checked wiring from dme to valve ok...idle still at around 1050/1100.. my actual valve for iacv seems to sit at around 55%..any input would be helpful...Im wondering if my car has a aftermarket chip in it causing high idle..
  3. So you are agreeing with that cable plugged into vci of piwis will work to communicate with 993 and older
  4. To be clear. You are running that connector to PIWIS 2? Plugging in to OBD2 port in VCI? Or running with a durametric?
  5. Where can I purchase adaptor? Does the durametric cable work with a PIWIS?
  6. So via blink codes I found said dtc. Idle is at around 1k rpm. Unplug connector idle drops. Going blind into this. Don’t have a scanner or diagrams. Car had aftermarket air filter and MAF. and a harness spliced into red pin of connector. Connector has 2 pins. (I see people talk about a 3 pin connector?). I installed stock air box and removed/repaired red wire. So my questions are A. To check my wires I’d like to resistance check them. Are they direct to DME? Anyone have a picture of pinouts? B. Any chance by removing the maf. It needs to be relearned even tho it throws a short circuit. C. Can I perform a iac learn without diag. Scanner? Thanks for any input. Here’s a picture of the stuff I removed
  7. Sorry if this is somewhere else.. but I'm on Tapatalk so maybe that's why I can't find any info. Looking to buy timing tools for m96 motors. Anyone recommend a specific aftermarket company's set?
  8. How's your oil pressure? Esp when hot?.. run your oil pump part # at dealer.. it should supersede like 8 times or more..just saying
  9. Ok sorry for the wait guys..but I was correct in PDK actual values there is a value for race start counter. It was at zero. I then activated launch control..still stayed at zero until I actually released brake and car took off. I did it a second time, it went to 2.. I then cycled key and rechecked at it stayed at 2.. now like I said this is on a PIWIS 3.. so it may be different on a PIWIS 2 and I'm sure for a Durametric
  10. I would assume by saying "both fuel pumps" they replaced pumps and flanges.. the pumps were never really the issue.. the smell was from raw fuel not vapors
  11. So PIWIS 3 is a little different but in VAL under PDK actual values race start counter.. I will chime back in when I get a car to test and see if it changes after engaging launch control
  12. I've seen several pump flanges ( white things you remove to access in take pumps) leak fuel causing smell.. not really the pumps themselves..made from plastic and over time the seams leak..would recommend replacing both if one was leaking
  13. Yes It can be checked via PIWIS tester. Don't remember exactly where it's hidden. Might be in part of VAL. If need be I can dig for it. Lmk
