  1. I had my system totally flushed and replenished in August and all was well until last week. Before the above I could heard a gassing noise from the passenger footwell when the air con was on. The noise has recently reappeared albeit two months after it being serviced. Has anybody else had this noise or can they shed any light as to what it my be or a solution? Many thanks.
  2. What if you don't have the Sports Chrono? I've had the glovebox out and still to no avail. :-(
  3. Apologies. I'll reply to the pm so you can see what you sent me. Thanks
  4. Hi Loren I have an annoying rattle jjust above the glovebox and I have the pm you sent. What Iam puzzled with is the prelim bits. any chance of a heads up on these please? Cheers buddy.
  5. Guys, thanks to all who have contributed. I sprayed some silicone liquid and, for the time being, its quiet. The dash rattle is still there. I've had the PCM out but nothing obvious. The car is going to sleep tomorrow for winter so these are now jobs for April. Many thanks to all.
  6. I've tried to search the workshop manual for removing the rear windows but to no avail. I realsie the rubber comes off on the inside but how does the glass come out? Thanks for your help.
  7. This is driving me around the bend! Has anybody else had it and know of any fixes? Also I'm noticing a rattle from underneath the centre of the dashboard. Arrgghhhhhhh. Is it a window out job? If so, how? I've searched the workshop manual but to no avail. I have manged to look inside and there is a rubber seal that goes all around the window, this will pull off I think. Cheers
  8. Subscribed. This a retrofit I need to do. Does anybody have a list of the parts? Cheers
  9. Cheers Mos for the reply. I have actually, luckily enough, sourced two complete door handles with leather. The condition of the leather is superb. I was trying to see of I could just replace the leather without having to take the door panel off and replace the whole handle. It's looking like I will have to now. I suppose it's not a waste of time as I can Waxoyl inside etc.
  10. The leather is worn and marked from the previous owners rings etc. I realise the actual pull is secured from inside the door therefore necessitating panel removal but is the leather that is attahced to it easily removed without taking the panel off? Cheers
  11. Hi Hennrik I had the exact same issue to yourself. It has now been solved. 1. Make sure all of your tyres are the same make. Porsche are very fussy when it comes to tyres. In the manual it says to always have the same manufacturer on all 4 wheels. 2. Make sure your front splitter is intact and present. 3. Finally get a quality wheel alignment carried out on the car. I use a place here in the Uk called Center Gravity. They are excellent. Have a look at their website to get an appreciation of what you should be aiming for. Cheers Peter
  12. Hi Any ideas on how to do this? I tried to remove the headlamp and I turned the bar the wrong way......snap went the bar. I have wheels off and assume bumper plus liners have to come off too. Once all these are off is it a simple case of undoing a few bolts and viola the tray is out? Cheers
  13. Lowering my C2

  14. Hi Guys, I hope all is well. I took my car to Center Gravity last year for a full geometry check and Chris advised that he felt my car was sitting a tadge too high, particularily on the back. On closer inspection I too feel this after seeing other 997's. I appreciate the 'S' is naturally lower and I'd like to get somewhere around this height. Does anybody have any recommendations on what the process is and also what make of parts to buy? One more point, I don't want it to look stupidly low if you see what I mean. Cheers guys Peter North West UK. p.s. If anybody has done this then a few before and photos with the measurement of drop per spring would be really useful. Cheers
  15. Also try Charles Trent Limited. I got a 997 2008 MFSW off them for £80 !!!
  16. Hi Paul I'm having the same issue on both doors, any chance of the DIY please? Cheers
  17. Thanks for the reply. I was assured the shifter is B&M. it was purchased off a person I know from a Porsche forum. Cables are correctly seated and gear changes are no problem at all. :thankyou:
  18. Hi Guys The shifter is installed and works perfectly. The only thing is the neutral postioning. When in neutral the gear knob is more over to the left near reverse rather than the normal postioning of the stock kit. I'm confused. Any help appreciated.
  19. Fitting a MFSW ????

  20. Hi I'm in the process of purchasing a second hand MFSW for my 911. It is the triangular airbag. Looking at the picture I cannot see any wires that sit in the steering wheel under the bag ?????? Any help appreciated
  21. I had Potenza's on the back and Pirelli's on the front, this caused issues. Basically the car was trying to lift off when doing over 120mph. I spoke to a friend on another forum and Porsche say do not mix tyre brands. I've followed their advice and all is fine now. :king:
  22. I need access to the rear of the glovebox. How easy is it to remove. Any help appreciated.
