  1. I retrofitted the OEM HID lights using the DIY instruction to my non HID equipped 996 a while ago and it worked perfectly for a while, but now i 've a problem. I cannot turn on the head light normally anymore. the only way i could turn on the headlight is I ve to turn on the fog light, shut off the fog light, then the head light will come on. if i just turn the dial to the right, only the parking light will come on. any helps????
  2. I got a weire problem after the retrofit. It used to work normally with the new HID light, but now I cannot turn on the HID head light when I turn the dial to "on" position, only the parking light is on when I turn the dial. I have to pull the dial to turn on the fog light then push it back to shut off the fog light then the HID head light will turn on by itself. so now my switch on head light sequences are: turn the dial full right, pull it out and push it back to turn on head light. anyone 've this same problem or any idea why?
  3. my 02 996C2 've the newer 997 RMS replaced in May with 16K miles. 4 months 3k miles later it leak again. My dealer said the crankshaft run out and the bore are within spec and they are going to try again with another seal replacement. What does it take to get a new engine? FYI this is the third seal replacement and each last around 3K miles.
  4. so you are saying it is not worth to pay extra $400 for the sport shock? The HD were designed to work with the ROW std and M030 springs. With that in mind they will work OK with lowering springs like H&R as the H&R lower only 15mm more than the M030. I have talked to a tech at Bilstein and the Sport are the same valving as the HD and only the rod is slightly shorter. Many people have used the HD with H&R springs and had no problems. While the sport might be idea to insure that you won't bottom the shock out it is an unnecessary thing.
  5. my dealer want $250 to replace the switch on the glove box (passenger side), i would rather DIY. any instruction on how to remove the glove box and inspect the switch?
  6. I have a 02 C2 with PSE and I want to add the switch. Do I need to upgrade the PSE realy? My current one has part number 996 618 980 02, do I need 996 618 980 03 relay? It seem to me that the 02 relay don't 've anything on pin 4 and pin 7.
