  1. Hello, can you tell me how I can get my radio's serial number and such without having to take the radio out? The vehicle is 97 Boxster and the radio is a CR-210. Thanks Loren!
  2. Actually the glass part is what I was referring to. Even when it's closed it acts like its open. ugh!
  3. My rear hatch on my 04 S closes properly but does not turn off the interior light which in turn makes the car act like it is open. I am located in the flooded area of Central Pa. and it sat outside in torrential downpour overnight. Any suggestions?
  4. I did the exact same set up and this was my cost: 2 MagnaFlow mufflers - $160 shipped (eBay) 2 2.5" 90 degree mandrel bent elbows $55 shipped (eBay) Labor charge from Old Gold exhaust shop in my area $93 I didnt use the 60 degree elbows because if you have the stock exhaust cut off right at the muffler there is plenty of bend there for the welder or exhaust shop to use with the 90 degree bends. Sounds great coupled with my Leistung Motorsports cat bypass pipes. You said this is fairly cheap? How much did it run you? If you dont mind me asking
  5. Are you still having problems with your turn signal? Mine were working intermittently and I found that if you remove the bulb socket, there are 2 metal tabs on the outside of the socket that don't make full contact with its corresponding tab in the headlight. I used a flathead screwdriver and pryed the metal tabs up a little bit so that they will make good contact when the socket is properly seated. I also have some black caulky type substance on my headlights. Some flaked off but I havent noticed any moisture or water inside the housing and it's been raining a lot here in Central Pennsylvania. I wouldnt worry about it unless water or moisture is present.
  6. If someone could give me the specs, I can work on them as I have access to the proper machines. (I worked for Blouch Turbo for a number of years)
  7. I have those parts as well and can take pics of them if someone needs an ID. The shop replaced the vent/breather pipe as well as the plastic water pipes. Tim How easy of a job Mudman2? Does the intake manifold have to be removed? Thanks!
  8. I am a pretty spirited driver at times and I feel like it has no adverse affects on the handling. I feel that it handles better with the wider wheels and lowered stance.
  9. I went ahead and had my CS lowered using H and R sports springs(1.4" front and 1.3" rear) and this is my opinion on lowering. Keep in mind that I've driven everything lowered, including hooptie Mazdas, to full street/race suspensions on Audi's and Honda's. The ride on them is truly not that bad, a little bouncier and you feel the road more, but not much more. This is on 45 series tires on front, and 40 on the back. If all you have ever driven are stock suv's and sedans, it will be different. If you lower anything that you can get your hands on, it wont bother you at all. This is after a day of use. When I picked up the CS from having it lowered, I honestly thought I was gonna be bouncing around and the shocks were going to be bottoming out because of some of the posts that I read here and on Rennlist, but that is not the case. I dont know how much the ride will change in the future, but I'll update and let you guys know. I think this is a must upgrade for Cayennes, it handles better and looks better, and the ride is not much worse.
  10. The wheels I have are +50 in front and +58 in the rears and I confirmed this with the seller. The fronts had to have spacers or they would not fit over the brakes. My wheels came with various size spacers so I used the second largest ones, 15mm. The spacers helped clear the necessary room and then some. I think I couldve used smaller ones, but the 15mm's made the wheels stick out just enough for that special look. The rears fit over the brakes perfectly but I added spacers to make them wider than the fronts, which makes it look pretty aggressive. I pretty sure my wheels were meant for 996's and such, hence the reason for needing spacers to make them fit and look perfect. Im not much of a wheel and tire tech, I pretty much just go with what works, and my local indy porsche guys told me that my setup is safe, and that it is common practice among their audi and vw guys.
  11. PM me and I can point you in the right direction for the extended wheel bolts with the smaller 17mm head.
