  1. Thanks for the quick reply Loren. I do have a GT3 with center locks (my signature is out of date...), which were exchange for new ones. I was just wondering if there are some new instructions regarding the greasing etc.
  2. Any chance you got the TSB for that?
  3. Does anyone know if there's a Product Info document for the 997 GT3 Mk2 and if so, whether it is available somewhere for download? Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for the replies, guys. I tried a store bought CD this morning and it was playing just fine. Seems that it is endeed the quality of the CDRs used. I will give it another try with some higher quality CDRs as suggested. If that helps, I'll have to burned my compilations again.
  5. I have some problems with my PCM/CD player. After a couple of minutes of driving, the CD player (mp3-CDs) starts to have interruptions and after some of them, it tells me that it can't read my CD! And once it wouldn't even eject the CD anymore. Only the other morning it gave it back to me. I haven't tried a regular CD (non-mp3 that is) yet though. Has anyone experienced similar problems? On rennteam, someone mentioned that campaign "W610" would fix this problem. Does anybody know what this campaign is about? Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks Roger  My memory must have been reset during last summer. I would have sworn that it was green the last time I used it (and the battery full).
  7. My 997S has been hanging at the "Porsche Charg-o-mat I infusion" for about 3 weeks. This morning when I checked it in the garage, there was no light on on the charger. When I pull it out of the outlet and re-insert it, the red light comes on just quickly. Isn't it true that either a red light (when charging) or a green light (when battery is full) should be lit? If this is the case, how would I be able to determine if the charge is still working properly?
  8. This book (997) is a publication of PCNA so it's not available in Europe. Would anybody be able to direct me to a website where I can order it (btw - I tried PelicanParts but they are out of stock and can't tell when they will get it again) TIA
  9. Yabadabadooooooooo! It works. :jump: Fuse #42 is not wired up to the roof console and the power for the backlight of the buttons comes from the same line as the sunroof-button. This explains why the backlight worked while the transmitter didn't have any power (both wires on the same connector!). So I had to tap into another switched power source. Et voilà, it works! Many thanks again for your support, Gert!
  10. Many thanks for that quick reply, Gert and Loren, Training the transmitter will be the last step. And unfortunately, I'm not there yet. I just checked again and found out that there's no power on the wire #3 respectively fuse no 42! That explains why this darn thing doesn't want to work. Now how can I get voltage on wire #3 or fuse no 42? Could it really be that it needs to be activated with the PST2 or is fuse no 42 no even wired (but if so, why would they pre-wire up to the circuit board?). Now worst case, there's no power on fuse no 42. I guess I couldn't just tap into an existi
  11. took the plunge and bought all the parts needed to add the Homelink feature. Gert was really helpful and gave me a good price. Installations of the parts is really easy: Just remove the cover, put in the buttons, wire the prepared power-harness to the circuit plate and the circuit plate to the transmitter, mount the circuit plate and the transmitter and you're done. You can't do anything wrong (at least that's what I thought). BUT ... that darn thing does not work, dammit. :censored: What I don't understand (probably because I'm to stupid): - There's power on the circuit plate only
  12. Called my dealer. It does apply to my 03 Cayenne S with the standard seats. However, I don't know if the other seats are affected as well.
  13. Loren, The NHTSA website mentions the TSB 3303 regarding the replacement of the transmission fluid thermostat. Unfortunately, I cannot find this TSB here and was wondering if you have access to it? Thanks in advance. Matt C PS: Thanks a lot for this terrific site. You're doing a great job which helps a lot of people out there!
