    Hi, In my 1999 996 C2, the fan, wiper motor, and headlights will not turn on when I start my car. If I re-start the car then everything turns on fine. Any idea what this could be. thanks Umar

    Hi all, Recently when I start my 99 C2. I hear a click and sometimes the AC will not turn on, the blower will not turn on, and the wipers will not work. I have checked the respective fuses and none are blown. If I take one of the 7.5 red fuses out and place it back in, then restart the car everything works normal. What could this be. thanks

    hi guys anytime i do not use my 99 C2 for more than two days the car totally goes dead i went away this past weekend, came back to start the car. it was totally dead had battey checked out at autozone, they said it was fine fluid leves in battery are fine one i connect my booster pack to battery, car starts right up and alternator gives 14amps so what can i do next, is something draining my battery, any advice would be appreciated

    Hi, the last three times i have changed the oil on my 99c2 i have had to add 10quarts of 0W-40 to get the line on the dipstick to full. Why could this be?

    Hi all, I have a 99C2 with a PCM1 Nav system, the other day i left my lights on and the battery died. Since i have restarted the car I guess i have to enter a security code for the stereo. Problem is I have been using the radio for 1 year with a blank PCM screen. I was hoping one of you guys could tell me what buttons to press on my PCM1 so I can re-enter the security code on my blank screen. thanks umar :help:

    99 C2 Hi all, last night i left my lights on. This evening when i came back to the car the lights were still on. For a total of about 18 hours. My friend and I tried to jump the car using his toyota corolla but it will not turn over. The voltage meter in the car reads 10. Any advice on how to get my car up and running again. thanks

    Hi all, In my 99 C2, I noticed some coolant dripping on the driver side exhaust tip. after looking up coolant leak topics on this forum I am thinking that I may have a cracked coolant reservoir tank. The car also over heats in stop and go traffic but on the highway it is fine. Do you guys think that the water pump may be involved as well. thanks umar

    i noticed a green puddle under my car with dripping on the left exhaust tip. there are many posts on this issue but none mentioning stop leak fluid. Do any of you guys think that any of these "coolant stop leak" products can help the situation as a temporary fix. or would it be better to go get the system pressure tested and repair the defect. peace umar 99 c2

    Hi All, I have been told that the 17inch stock rims on my 911 are painted and a special machine that does not scratch the rim needs to be used to put the tire on. Is this true? I was just planning on going to Costco and having them put my tires on. Also what do people think of kumho tires, or should I stick with the pilot sports. thank you umar

    Hi All, In the morning when I first start to pull out of the garage, the car makes a little creaking sound and I have to give a little gas and release the clutch to get going. Could it be that my hand brake gets stuck for a little bit. peace umar 99 c2

    i took it to these guys at http://www.autosportengineering.com/ they seem really nice, but a 5 hour discrepancy does seem like much thanks umar did you take it to an independent or a dealer?

    My clutch on a 99 C2 is experiencing the same slipping. I took it to my porsche mechanic. He has quoted me about 11 hours of labor to replace the clutch. For others that have gone through this, what has been the ballpark cost for a clutch replacement. thanks Umar

    Hi all, Last week i accidently left my gas cap at a service station far from my house and two days later the CEL came on. I logged onto renntech and found out that a loose gas cap could be one of the reasons for the light. I got a friend to give me his gas cap from his 99 boxster which fits and clicks perfectly in my 99 C2. But the light is still on. Any ideas. Car is running fine, no problems to note.

    hello, does anyone know what the meaning is of the Sequence/Chassis Number. The last four digits on my 99 c2 are 0208. Does it mean that my car is the 208th 99c2 built during a specific build cycle? thanks Umar

    thanks gary the noise is consistent. not getting louder. Do you think this noise is a problem or just normal sounds. Anyway to make it stop umar
