  1. I looked up your FCC ID, it was definitely just a transmitter. It is a little sketchy to find these things under your carpet, huh?
  2. It is probably LoJack, I removed a transmitter, antenna, battery pack and switch from my center console also after I bought my car. I didn't know it was in there and was hardwiring my V1 when I found it. Does it look like this?
  3. It is either the regulator and/or one of the clamps that holds the glass came loose. Mine had both problems. If the clamps loosen, the position of the glass will change, and mine was hitting in the same spot yours is, making a very disturbing closing sound, yes? The regulator cable will start to destroy itself around the main pulley and soon be making a crunching sound. I spent an afternoon and put in the new regulator and adjusted it. I think the regulator was approximately $150 shipped. If you aren't up for taking the door panel apart, probably have a shop or dealer do it. I used this link to get familar with the process: http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/window/
  4. I heard the clicks when I did that, but the passenger side is still malfunctioning when I open the door. Also I noticed if I push the window down to that certain amount after I open the door, it will go back up correctly when I close it. (???) Thanks for that idea though. Is that to reset the limits after a battery disconnect or something similar?
  5. I noticed my passenger window is doing this also. Everything works ok on its own, but probably 2 out of 5 times, the window does not go down when the door opens and then bangs on the weather gutter or worse, hits the rear side window glass. I usually try to hit the switch manually when the girlfriend gets out and lower it a few before she slams the door, arrgh. Should I take the panels off and look inside, or will I be able to tell what is going wrong in there? PS- I replaced my 4 spoke steering with a new 3-spoke yesterday by following your post on here, Loren, thanks!
  6. I noticed when I have opened the airbox, it looked like some water had been sitting in that lower trough. So, I ended up drilling a few small holes in the lower trough for water drainage. I did not notice any difference in sound or performance after that. Not sure what this does to the equation, if anything, but at least now I know that if water gets in there, it can get out. Sean
