  1. Get a RemoteKey, you restore that function plus many others, inc. beep on remote key. remote window open and close, trunk delay, etc. look up mods-4-cars.
  2. Not sure about RHD. Here is where I put my unit under glovebox! Easier to put in trunk, tap into Bose or Nav. but i-pod wire run inside is a little difficult and Aux USB off/on switch is in trunk. http://www.flickr.com/photos/33889996@N00/...57600783213574/ I have an 06 997S
  3. I had PSE installed and just wired a 12 volt source and switch directly to the solenoid. Complete on/off any time. Sport mode independent.
  4. This has been discussed before and for $12 you can get the Home Depot rubber elbow, (if you can still find it) which works just as well. Not as elegant, but Cheaper and just as effective. Check other forums if not on here!!
  5. I use a Dunkin Donuts cup, Sorry Am in bed and not running to take a Picture now, constriction on bottom 1/3 and widens on top. very good fit!
  6. Partial update: audio and charging works perfectly with the Nav-TV cable, with interface on the Porsche PCM head unit. I had previously had my Porsche dealer install the Nav-TV unit under the passenger seat with the iPod cable terminating into the arm rest storage area (since I didn't need/want the iPod visible since all the functionality I wanted was available on the PCM head unit). However, with the iPhone, I DO want it within easy reach, since I need to be able to answer the phone, quickly query Google Maps, for the nearest drug store, for example, manage calls, read SMS messages, etc. I also have the Jawbone bluetooth noise cancelling headset, so I'm good with the iPhone call audio going through the car's Bose audio system (I hope I don't get feedback, but with the powerful noise cancelling cabilities of the Jawbone headset, I'm hopeful this won't be the case). Sooooo.... I needed to extend the iPod cable out of the armrest about another 2 feet, to the side of the PCM, where I figure I want it mounted, and needed a mount to firmly hold the iPhone, but in an accesibble, but unobtrusive location, perhaps adjacent the PCM itself, to the right, WITHOUT drilling, damaging or defacing the vehicle itself. So I found and ordered 1) This 2FT iPod doc extender cable: http://www.cablejive.com/extendercable.html, 2) This iPhone-specific swivel holder mount: Padded Adjustable iPod Holder with Tilt Swivel, and 3) This Porsche 911-specific iPod vehicle mount: ProClip Angled Vehicle Mount I'll post back in a week or so after I've got these additions added with a fuller review, including the overall performance of the solution with the phone call audio routing through the car audio, auto-muting on phone call, and the Jawbone/car audio setup plus some photos of this (hopefully) elegant and understated solution. Damon Let me get this right: 1. you can hear the phone calls through the cars audio system, but, because there is no external mike you need to use the Jawbone to talk? 2. What about voice dial?
  7. Larry, What did the Dension Bluetooth option cost? Let me know how well it works, and were you able to use the existing factory microphone. Thanks, -Bob Looks like no to the mute and no to the mike so far! Module is $99 from bumperplugs.com, ck the site. I haven't gotten the unit yet!!
  8. I will be installing the Dension Bluetooth adapter into my Dension 500 unit. Where can you easily access the mute wire to the PCM, and how do you identify same? Also can you access the built in Mic if you don't have the factory Phone module, and if so where?
  9. I couldn't find any on a 987, ended up bringing one from the fuse box through to the front. if you have a 997, you can use the CD player wiring harness located on the passenger side, under the carpet (where the CD player would go or is mounted) Most all of the Dennison Ipod users have tapped into the switched power wire and ground. 12V switched = red/green. See pic Thanks Bob, that's exactly what I was looking for! Not sure that is switched with ignition, Dension unit requires unswitched for the MOST connection!!
  10. Wear rating is bad enough on the N rated tires, these look worse!! Thanks, anyway!
  11. Having trouble getting Pirelli 295/30ZR19's for the rear of my 06 997S. I have Classic 5 spoke's Will the 305's work with no problems, they appear to be readily available ?
  12. windows yes, sunroof no! RemoteKey for coupes Sorry for Dup, can't erase?
  13. Both my 4gig ist. gen Nano's work fine, using Firmware V 1.00. click wheel works fine. I have no complaints!
  14. Jhbrennan is right, here is another link for the module. It's Great!! Also allows window up/down with the key remotely and delays trunk release plus other functions! https://www.wilhelmy-it.de/sms/shop/index.p...cts&cat=152
  15. Whats the price for the airbox? Is the airbox compatible to the to a 997 C2 also? Pictures please? First post said 3.8ltr engine-(S) and price! Final pictures would be nice!
  16. Thanks So how did the install go? Your impressions of the X51 headers in terms of performance? Do you have high flow cats and aftermarket mufflers as well? Install was quite easy except for one bolt on rt header which was hard to line up because of a hose and a couple of exhaust nuts that were a little tricky to get a socket on! Took me about 2 hrs! Only change so far is a bit throatier tone with the PSE. Standard Cats, no noticeable performance change, nor did I expect any I am hoping for a little better gas mileage, probably in vain. System sounds great and headers can't hurt. Haven't been able to go back to MA. yet for a long distance test!!
  17. I am installing X51 headers on my 997S and wondered what the proper torque spec is and if any particular tightening pattern is recommended. Thanks
  18. doesn't seem like that great of a deal to me buddynino. Alas. I bought it and I am as giddy as a fifteen year old! WooHoo ENJOY!!!!
