  1. Check this. Should help you with the fixes: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Porsche-Cayenne/49-WATER-Water_Pump_Replacement/49-WATER-Water_Pump_Replacement.htm
  2. Hello to Belgium! Thank you for this advice. Where can i find the heater core? By the way, i remember there was some kind of valve: "there is a valve, that separates the air outlet that goes into your glovebox, which is always cold during winter, and uses the cooled air when the air temp outside is warm. That valve can be a faulty valve in your case, which causes the cold air to be released into the cabin"
  3. Same Problem here. My CS stay in the Garage for many weeks. Now i wanted to make a test drive. No warm air at all on both sides. Before It was working very well. Any idea except the fuse? Where is the heating valve located? Could it be the reason? Thank you
  4. Hi ! I dont know how they connect the Lines. I will do the same with my turbo in the next days and try to make pictures. So you can see how it works. This Fluid Changing Equipment has special Adapters for every model.

  6. No no i still have my cayenne's I had a Chance to Talk to a Guy from ZF. He explain me that specially Heavy cars, Vehikels with high torque have very bad Fluid quality after some years. Every mercedes service Point is offering this Procedere. Almost every Taxi service is doing this on all cars now. I am really Impressed by the results.
  7. Hi all! Because Transmission Problems with a Cayenne is a common subject, i would like to Share my experience. I dont know if Flushing Transmissions is a well known process overseas, i will write some words about this here. When i was going to change my Fluid, the service Guy asked me why i just change the oil. He explain to me what does it mean to Flush a transmission. Because i had the same Problems like many orhers here, hard shifting, Crazy up and down shifting during hard drive, i decided to try the Flushing . What i can say, the Vehikel run very smooth now.. Here is s link which is showing the Process in Youtube:
  8. I changed the spark plugs on my turbo this weekend. 144.000 km. Looks like it was the Original Set. Does the colour tell anything about the Health of the engine? Thank you
  9. For Transmission for my Cayenne S they used : http://www.fuchslubricants.com/titan-atf-4400 It feels like new
  10. I believe the first thing you should try is a test if your alternator is producing enough power. I bought a little device which you can connect to the lighter or any other socket. If the car is running and you dont have minimum 12.90 or more you need to check the system
  11. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/46169-alternator-generator-battery/?fromsearch=1 Please check this
  12. When same things started on my car it ended with the replacement of alternator. Try to messure how strong is your battery and how much does your alternator Produce
  13. Some time ago i Posted this in onother thread: These days i found a old Statement from Loren where he is writing about CAN Network problems which could cause strange display messages. He noted to take out fuse # 40 for a moment . Try this an check if the light is coming back. Same time Monitor the Oil Level regular via dipstick
  14. hi again, for now i believe the main reason for the high temp was a air bubble in the cooling system. i had to refill arround 0,60 liter of coolant. since that time the temp stay arround 80 degree celsius in the middle of the gauge. if its going a bit further, fan is kicking in with high speed.
  15. Just want to say: i did it today. If i can do it, everyone with a little bit of talent can do this job. Changed the rear differential Fluid and transfer case Fluid . Both black and strange smell. Doesnt look good. After a first test drive i would say: everything feels more smooth and less noises from drive Train.
  16. Not yet. Before i go back to my Local Porsche Service i wanted to see if i could find out something by myself. I phoned the mechanic and asked if they made a Test when they replaced the new fan. He told me they did. Saturday water temp was really high and SURPRISE, fan running on Stage 2. but i was expecting that fan will continue to run fast even when i park the car. They didnt. I never had a loss of coolant when i checkend the CET in the past. This saturday the cooling Level Warning light came up. Dont know what to think about this story again. Air in the System - maybe Warterpump- cant see any coolant there Thermostat- possible to check? How? Coolant Tubes- are already changed for alu. I keep you Updated whats going on
  17. Some time ago i had to replace the oil level sensor. Porsche changed for a new one but after i still had the oil level WARNING coming up every day even when oil was enough. The shop couldnt find the fault and told me must be a wiring problem in the display consol. These days i found a old Statement from Loren where he is writing about CAN Network problems which could cause strange display messages. He noted to take out fuse # 40 for a moment . I try this today and..... My display is clear now. No strange oil level WARNING anymore. Thanks again to this great Forum .
