  1. Is there a difference between panamera turbo lower control arms and turbo S lower control arms? Want to learn of different types of parts available, interchangability, etc. If yes, what is the diff? Where? Thanks.
  2. In case folks wonder whether there is a process for servo removal and install, I found this link, with details on many steps. Will supplement above info well. If you want to become versed in replacing the servos, I would recommend reading in this order: 1. Thread on servos here 2. Another thread on servos 3. Shop manual steps to remove servos Good luck
  3. Inspection folks cleaned off, had car for 2 days total (dealer was not in hurry). After cleaning and driving they did not see any fluid. However the initial fluid was not a large leak or splash, it was only a couple drops, darker. So far inspection folks said probably nothing, but I am inquiring just in case I start seeing some signs. Overall inspection showed total of 3 notifications on cluster plus 1 observation: - Low tire pressure rear pass - tire had nail - maintenance upcoming in 10000 miles - next oil change due in 7800 miles - lower control arms forward bushing weakened Dealer is replacing tires with new ones (check), and is replacing both control arms with new Porsche parts (check), and giving 4 wheel alignment (check). In all there should be nothing outstanding. Since I will drive car back home, it will give me perfect test duration to check if car is up to long drive. Thank you for your input.
  4. From further research it appears that the bottom of the bumper is a separate piece from the front of bumper. I will greatly appreciate if someone can point out part number info for the bottom trim pieces, that will go under the bumper. Thank you very much for help.
  5. This tutorial shows steps for replacing air filter on Panamera. Does not look hard, but to get full instructions/steps, please watch other turorials in the following order: 1. Panamera headlight removal 2. Panamera front bumper removal 3. This tutorial - Panamera air filter replacement Hope it helps out. DIY you get to make sure things are right every time.
  6. This is a must see for those who want to replace their own air filter on Panamera. Does not look hard at all, just takes some time. Also very useful if bumper removal needed for other reasons. Hope this helps out.
  7. This is a vid that shows removal of a Panamera headlight. Easy but useful to refer to, by those not frequent to fixing vehicles themselves. Can definitely save money here by DIY.
  8. Does anyone have info on what goes wrong when filler door becomes loose? Observed it in one car I just drove, and when looked up online, there is a lot of people chiming in that they have issues with opening or loose fuel door. When I pick up the car i want to make sure I check it and address if it needs work. Thank you.
  9. on the turbo version, is the entire front bumper one piece? What I am interested is whether the under side of the bumper is a separate trim piece. If the car goes over a steeper driveway, it may hit the under side of front bumper. If scratches are made, I wanted to know if the entire bumper would have to be replaced, or if the under/bottom side is separate trim pieces (driver and passenger) that can be replaced. I hope I am making sense with the above. Thank you.
  10. At this time I do not have question. I was expecting to locate one and dig in for some high level reading. Decided with an '11 Panamera Turbo, which if all goes well, will pick up this coming Saturday. How about this question: If I wanted to replace engine mountss at some point, what would it take tools wise and steps wise? The car I consider had a small bead of some fluid in area of engine mounts. Hard to tell but I assume could be from the mounts. Wonder if I can do this as DIY. Would def. post a DIY if can do.
  11. looks like I have an 11 turbo on my mind. if things go smooth, i will be driving it home next Saturday. Need to get a hold of a good service manual, so i can look it over and start maintain right away.
  12. I have 05 CTT. The CV boot on it split near the axle itself, spraying great onto the wheel. Looking for confirmation of proper part number to order. One I dug up is: G95534903810 Greatly appreciate if someone can confirm or provide proper part number for this. As a side question, when the boot splits, there are often repair kits to replace the boot itself. Wonder which way is a better option to resolve...replace cv boot and clamps only, or replace entire axle? Car has about 134K on it, so it does have wear. I do not think I am hearing loud noises. When driving without radio on, my impression was it was somewhat noisier, but that could have been from tires being half worn as well, so no definite info on this here. One thing makes me think to replace shaft whole is the mileage is already high, so replacement wont hurt for sure. Always welcome opinions. Thank you.
  13. does anyone know if there are replacement connectors for the CTT radio and sat antenna? Mine are brittle and I see plastic cracking. Wanted to get replacements to ensure proper connection. Attaching pic of these here. They are at the back of the PCM. Thank you.
  14. super. Are there any best places to get these? Have been looking and prices vary from about 150 to close to 200. Gotta get this done asap. Heat in TX is coming in and its not good for me.
  15. I wanted to confirm whether these parts are correct for my 05 Cayenne TT (4 zone A/C). My errors in Durametric were: 710 - servo motor for defrost flap714 - servo motor for central vents right My right side vents (passenger front and rear) are much warmer than my left (driver side) vents, for quite some time. They do eventually become colder but it takes a lot of time (about 20 minutes to be even). From what I gather it is the flap actuators that do the temp mixing. Parts I need confirmation on are: 95562490801 - Electric Motor Temperature Mixing Flap (right)95562490101 - Electric Motor Defroster Flap If you can help confirm these are the part numbers, I will greatly appreciate it. Also, if you know places I can get parts cheaper than $187 that I was given so far, would be awesome.
  16. Cool. So I will need: 7L0-907-511-AB front, defroster vent flap (1) $69 7L0-907-511-AL front, right mixing flap (10) $78 Questions: 1. Anyone knows what the 05 Cayenne TT numbers for these will be? 2. While I am at it, is there anything else worth replacing at same time? The only codes I seem to have now are the 714 and 710. Thank you.
  17. Is #10 (where all parts are listed) the servo motor for central vents (right - pass side)? I have error code 714 - servo motor for central vents right. Also have error 710 - servo motor for defrost flap. 1. Wanted to make sure I get the parts right. 2. Wanted to confirm if there is any way to replace the defrost flap servo without removing entire dash. Thank you.
  18. Sorry to rehash this again. I am getting some time to replace this and wanted to clarify a few things, hope some can chime in to help out. My pass. side front and pass. side rear ac units do not blow cold as first. Later, maybe 20 minutes after they cool down more. Specifically the front dash pass side vent blows warm, and center console rear pass side vent. As said, after a while they do blow colder. I was told that the temperature mixing servo motor is in need of replacement. My durametric code software tells me: - 714 - servo motor for central vents right - 710 - servo motor for defrost flap (I think my older durametric version gave different codes - 2700 or something) I hope to clarify; - Part numer for servos I need replaced\ - location of each servo to replace (would be ideal to see a diagam etc - much appreciated) Hints on replace would be awesome too. Thank you.
  19. Just to revisit and close on this topic, I found it too hard to replace upper control arms without removing the shock. If you look at one of my DIYs for this, you will see in pics that the two bolts holding the upper control arm to the shock, are in such proximity to the body of the car inside wheel well, that it would be too hard to access these bolts to remove. I had to remove the shock which was not difficult at all. As to the squeaking and clunking noises from the shock, my fix was: - replacing upper control mount with new one (bushings new - removing shock and replacing the upper shock bushing (inside the shock). The squeaking and clunking was coming from these components (clunking likely from upper shock mount, squeaking from old bushings in upper control mount). Once these were replaced, ride became less jarring (much smoother), and noises were no longer observed. Case closed.
  20. I am in need of replacing windshield. Truck passing me on left threw a stone that hit lower left corner of window making 3 cracks about foot long each (and now theyre intersecting..a mess). Going through insurance. My questions are: 1. Has anyone gone with Safelite? My ins. says they deal with them 2. Is actual OEM a better replacement than whatever Safelite's OEM equivalent will be? Ins. says it will be functionally same..I need to check. 3. If Safelite not good, who would you recommend? 4. I think the radio antenna goes around the window. Any advice on this during replacement? Thank you.
  21. CTT Front Airshock Mount Bushing & Control Arm Replacement If you notice your car is squeaking a lot at front, not smooth over bumps, has noises coming out of front, chances are your shock mount bushings are damaged and need replacement. If you need to do this, I hope you can use this tutorial to get it all fixed. Hope it helps. Feel free to give feedback afterwards. Thank you. Pics labeled *-DRV are for driver side shock...otherwise everything else is same on both sides. 22. Reset 'Service Now' Message - Durametric I know this is a super simple one, but I have seen many inquiries with plenty of people saying this is not possible. So thought to provide accurate steps. In case you need to reset that pesky message appearing on your speedo, telling you to service your car now, do the following. I have been doing this via Durametric, with 100% success rate so far. Durametric sw ver: 6.5.2.0 - Connect cable to ODB2 port in car, and other end of cable into powered on laptop - Start Durametric SW - IF aske Author ciaka Category Cayenne (9PA, 9PA1) - Maintenance Submitted 10/13/2016 06:24 PM
