  1. I'm restarting this post because I have the same exact problem and I'm hoping you found a fix. My windows react normally when I take the top down, but for some reason the driver rear window does not go up when I close the top. The motor works because I can manually raise the window using the rocker switch. Any thoughts on how to fix the rear driver window so it automatically raises like the passenger rear does?
  2. Thanks Simon - you're right! I forgot that the headlights need to be on to engage the fogs. I think it's all working fine - thanks for responding.
  3. I recently replaced the headlight switch in my 03 Carrera Cab (thanks for the DIY Loren!) After I got the whole assembly put back together, I tested the lights and they worked! Being not much of a DIYer, I was thrilled. My only problem is that although the lights work, the lights dial on the dash won't stay in the extended position for the fog lights. I can manually hold the dial out and test that the lights are actually working, but the dial won't stay extended on its own. I've taken the dial off and replaced it again several times but I still can't figure out why it won;t extend on it's own. Did I miss a step? Any thoughts?
  4. I have a 2003 996 Cab and just found out that the brake lights aren't working. After reviewing the other topics on this forum, I'm pretty sure I need a new brake light switch. Most of the other topics however also point to PSM and ABS fault lights that display but I have no fault lights on the dash. Would a faulty brake light switch not always trigger an ABS fault? Also, my front headlights sometimes don't always come on the first time I turn them on - sometimes I have to click them on and off a few times for them to finally come on. Could the two problems be related?
