Our 996 Cab is in the dealer to have the reverse light switch changed under warranty. Just after leaving the car they call me to 'try it on'. "Your car is due a service and an alignment." I explain the service was carried out but they keep going on about the wheel alignment that is due. I have checked on here and my maintenance book but cannot find this listed. Is the garage trying it on ?????

The part number you require assuming you have the slightly concave wheel cap with the colored crest is 996 361 303 09 which is $44.84 from somewhere like pelicanparts.

The options are the only ones available but I have my dealer checking with the head office on the availability of PCCB but I am not holding much hope. For production, I have a date of Septmeber 20 for my car and hope to see it mid-october (shipping allowing). If I hear anything else I will post it on here. And as for an order guide I am pressing my dealer for this but there is no news of one as of yet. They are awaiting the guides for not just this model but all 2008 cars. I do know the car is highly sort after, I have mine but the dealer now has a wait list of 5 for this car, not that I am going to pass on it!!!

No it does not have a full leather interior, that is on the demo version only. The Demo version also does not have a sports exhaust fitted either.

4 quarts in 3800 miles that seems a little high even for a new car. Maybe the 997 is more thirsty than the 986 perhaps. (Anyhow roll on October and my orange car!! :D )
