  1. Well it gave up the ghost today. I figured it would so I bought a replacement a month or so ago. New one is installed and the handle is sitting flush again.
  2. The other day I heard/felt a pop when I opened my door from inside. Afterwards, the door handle wouldn't sit flush and the window wouldn't go up all the way. If I pushed the handle in, it would go up. Also, once I started driving, it went up all the way. I pulled off the trim, and it appears that the spring on the axle bearing shown below came out of its normal position. After some sweat and tears, I seemed to have got it in a "good spot" but I am still not sure the way I oriented the spring is correct. The picture below is a stock picture. The handle sits flush again and the window goes up all the way, but I am worried it will pop back out. Has anyone had a similar problem with the axle bearing?
  3. I know this is the 996 section, but I am curious if Bentley is planning to publish a manual for the 997 or if there is enough similarity that the 996 manual would be good starter for maintenance on 997.2. Please be gentle on me. This post is my first.
