  1. The touchiness has to do with the proportion ratio between the size of the pistons in the calipers to the master cylinder bore. You can make brakes more or less touchy by altering this ratio and that is mainly what you are experiencing.

  3. don added them - they are the hood badges in silver - because don is just that sick! Seriously Don, what is next it's been a while huh?
  4. LSD transfers power to both wheels instead of just the one by means of a cone type clutch system - typically. So you have better traciton and no peg leg burnouts!
  5. there was one I used that was specifically for the oem oil. It screwed into the lid had a nice long hose that went to the bottom and a longer hose that went into the tranny. Made it a breeze-
  6. Nice or if you can give me his email and I will hit him up. Thanks. Is that the turbo spoiler v. the c4s right?
  7. decklid is wider on turbo I guess it was custom. c4s decklid is supposed to be the same. The bolts are different on the turbo as well.
  8. Hey sorry to chime in but I am going to upgrade my front end to the 02 and up litronics. do I need to get that control module and can you give me the wiring color codes for both my 99 harness and the 02 and up one so I can wire it right without having to pull out my meter and work? Thanks. Any other help would be great also, i.e. if I need that control unit or whatever, and or bi xenon extras. Please email me. thanks. Sean
  9. Hey Loren and TP, I am going to do the conversion on my car to the newer 02 and up front end. I have everything figured out but I need to know what the wiring is for the 99 litronic buckets - receptacles where the litronics slide into etc. and the ones for the 02 if possible or I can figure it out from the former. Do you have a schmematic or color code for them? I am sure others who might do this down the road will also appreciate it. I will probably have my dad snap picks while I am doing it assuming he doesn't get on my nerves for a tutorial. Thanks in advance Sean - SPR

  11. ps2's are back ordered up the a** at tire rack. I found a set at wheel enhancement for 20 bucks over each.
  12. get the moton I hear they are great.
  13. I have seen this work. I think the trick is that you can't put it down or something. Do the turbo rear bumper I am told it bolts right up.
  14. good deal I was going to say get the turbo one!
  15. the sports anythings weight too much get o2 carreras off ebay. Basically you want less unspring weight and for sure you want the 8" fronts and 10" rears or bigger for both if you do a custom setup.
  16. sounds like balogney for sure. Have the alignment check especially with h&r coil overs. Sometimes they don't seat them properly with the hats Yikes! Really thought it sounds like torque steer which is caused by improper toe and or camber combination. Set it at -.5f -1.4r and toe 0 or maybe a little in if you drive freeways a lot and don't want it to be too hunty.
  17. yeah if you have the proper offset you will have no problems the problem will be understeer the x74 is about as good as you can get factory wise other than the gt2/gt3 coil overs and aftermarket coil overs. I would personally get the cheapest stock suspension then do pss9's as the x74 can't match them and the option will about cost the same prob. As for the sport technos, they are pretty heave. the 02 carrera rims even though yes, yes, 10's in the rear are lighter than their same size counterparts. If I were you for the rims I would do a couple different things. with 11's front and 8's make sure 8's not 7.5's front for sure! it will understeer a lot more than stock balance no matter how much negative you give it front etc. Bars will help but still. I would either got 02 stock carrera rims, or go 8.5 front run 235's or a bit bigger but prob just that and 10.5-11 rear with 295's. Get the new pilot sport sp2's, they are supposed to be the best. I just got a set. It's a tought deal but from the sound of things with what you want I would go aftermarket and get better stuff and better performance for the money-
  18. Cool to know. What's really weird is that my friend's c4s showed worse starvation issue by the tale of the guage around corners than my 99 did. And yes it drive it equally as hard, but probably harder. Weird. I am although a pretty smooth driver, yet so is he. I am "baffled" pun intended- muhahah
  19. Hey why did you replace the tank etc? Did you notice leaking or running hot? If so after you did it, did you notice any difference temp wise? I added the gt3 cooler to my car but it was still running hot and always suspected the cap/tank leaking problemo. thanks. Sean
  20. I just got my replacement clutch in for about 4 billz. Man is the clutch disc puny! There really isn't too much surface area of the material as compared to the 10.5 v8 stuff I am used to!
  21. you use the bolts that are there. they actually share them with a couple of clamps you'll see. Pretty easy. The only strange thing was there wasn't a hole for one of the mounts on the block.
  22. I tried prying them out with a screwdirver = flathead. And no luck I was pretty worried while doing it so I didn't go that far into it and I didn't want to risk damaging the surrounding dash, i.e. indentations etc.
  23. I tried to remove the stips yesterday with the pull technique and those things are in there! I wasn't able to make them budge!
