  1. I have a 2008 V6 that is seeping/leaking coolant from the back left side (passenger) of the engine. I have been monitoring it for a bit and even had it at Porsche for another issue and they didn't mention anything about it at the time. The leak has gotten worse and I smell coolant whenever the car is running so think I need to figure out where this is coming from. Any thoughts as to where this leak could be originating? To me it looks like it is coming from behind the connect of that pipe/hose. What is that and how serious could this be? How hard/easy of a fix is this? It's pretty tight back there and an odd angle. The Camera is just really wide.
  2. hey guys I just replaced the window regulator on my 2008 Cayenne, and it was a PITA. With the new regulator riveted in place, the window moves up and down when the frame is out of the car. Put the frame back in the car and I can't seem to manually move the window. But maybe that's normal. I have attached the window motor but it doesn't move the window much. It enganges and moves the cable a little, but stops, like its at the end of its run? Or is something obstructing it? Do I need to adjust something on the motor or the window regulator prior to installation? I'm a little stumped here.
  3. I can! Thanks Ahsai. I can unbolt, maybe, the cable at the alternator and the positive at the front of the engine. What's the story with the notorious starter/alternator cable? What's the alternative?
  4. Does the cable only go to the alternator? Can that be changed with engine in the car?
  5. I just did this today, or that is to say, I tried. When I tried to loosen the 13mm nut on the solenoid for the power, the stud itself came loose! The stud is now turning freely along with the nut... And it's not coming out!
  6. All good now! Turns out it was fuse C3. I kept googling and came across the solution. The ground wire is now connected to the stereo cage so now it locks without a beep. Thanks Loren for the quick reply, and with the stereo code as well.
  7. Thank you, I'll look at that. Would that alarm wire being connected stop the dome light, and central locking button from working as well? Or is there a fuse that I might have to look into too?
  8. The factory wire to the radio, as in the ground that goes to the cage? The strange thing is that this all worked 2 days ago, before I pulled the aftermarket stereo, unplugged everything to test the CDR-220 (by the way, the code you gave me worked! Thanks) And when putting it all back together, it now beeps twice and doesn't lock. I am ok with it beeping once and locks, as it used to. thanks
  9. Hey guys trying to figure out what I have done... I have a 1999 C2 and it came with an aftermarket stereo. The alarm always had 1 beep when locking with the remote. The PO said it was something with the ground. OK. I removed the Aftermarket radio to try and fit a CDR-220 but I couldn't as I didnt have the correct 1 din brackets anymore. They had been shaved off to install the 2 din aftermarket. I put the aftermarket back in but now the key remote doesn't lock the car. I get two beeps. The interior dome light doesn't work. The central locking switch doesn't work on the center console. The radio works though. I connected the ground wire. Still nothing. Are there any fuses that might have blown when the ground was disconnected? Did installing the Porsche CDR-220 reset something in the alarm system that is now fouling it up when it's not there anymore? I don't understand :) I put everything back together as it was. Thanks
  10. Hi Is this thread still active? CDR 220 Model No: BE 4462 Serial: Y5043632 Thanks
  11. I'll try and call again later, but according to the guy I talked to the, who wasn't originally familiar with the unit, said they don't service it. That it was made on contract by Porsche and I had to talk to them.
  12. awesome! Thanks Loren. I tried doing some gooleing but I couldn't find anything. I will reach out to them ASAP.
  13. I bought it used, from a mechanic, supposedly, on eBay. He said it worked when he last used it and had the motherboard replaced/repaired. But it never worked as long as I have had it... I just thought I was doing something wrong... If anyone has any thoughts on where to get one serviced, please let me know. Thanks
  14. Sounds like I have an issue with mine then. It malfunctions when connected via USB. I will try another USB cable, but this is the one I use for my printer so it should be good. I only have one Windows XP machine, but I tried two different installations of Windows, same result. Also get the same result in Windows 8. I looked inside it and it appears that the USB socket has been attempted repaired. That's too bad, I wasted a lot of money then I guess...Any thoughts on what to do with it? Can it be repaired?
  15. Hi Loren, I though I had replied but turns out I didnt...sorry. I have V34, cracked. I havent done the firmware updates on the KTS yet becasue I can't access the KTS. Windows doesn't find it. When I connect with USB I get the message that the device malfunctioned or isn't recognized.
