  1. well I used the MOST of the cd changer - as mine came without one - so I installed everything on top of the rear tyre - next you will need to look under the passenger (? mine is a uk so right is driver seat) seat for the phone and pull that out and use the adapter to close the loop again .. then update the software via USB and you should be good to go. I also used the power from the changer which is already present ...
  2. I have the Achilles 275/45/20 on my facelift 2008 9PA - were installed when I bought it 2nd hand - I have now 5000miles on them and they dont seem to show any wear to be honest was expecting much more from what I have read about tyre wear ... cant really compare wear and noise though as I got nothing to compare but to me seems like a reasonable tyre
  3. thanks mate, highly appreciated  but I still wonder - why there seems to be a difference to what seems to be standard on the my08 but isn't inlcuded on mine .. never mind - I still enjoy it ... :drive:
  4. thanks for your response, the VIN says its manufacturing year is 2008 - however it was registered 07/07 - so that made me believe its indeed a my08 - looking at the 2008 fact book standard components reveals that it doesn't have some of those - hence I wonder now and my question ... I also think the non-facelift model prior to mine didn't come as a 3.6 V6 ... just wondering if there were different "standard" components to come with it
  5. after reading through the site and picking up some valuable information - thanks guys - I now started to wonder what model I actually bought ... all documents make me believe its a 2007, 3.6 v6, tiptronic - so I'd think its a my08, but if I compare the standard features from the my 2008 fact book - its seems to differ on certain bits - eg cruise control (missing on mine) ... it just highlighted as I was looking for information on fitting in bluetooth to the pcm 2.1 dvd and while I was browsing some of the information on here ... does the standard feature set for US and UK (mine) differ or could someone explain this? I tried checking the option codes but some aren't referenced either ... any hints on this are highly appreciated ... cheers r4n
  6. hm, all checked - all good - bushings were new even - so I disabled the PSM temporarily to see if that has an impact - it did - interestingly though after re-enabling it - the issue is still gone ... wonder what this could be ...
  7. thanks mate I'll have them checked ...anything else I should look for?
  8. hi, I have my Cayenne (08) for a few days now and it feels odd sometimes which is difficult to explain. If I do like 70mph and the steering wheel is dead on straight and I give a tiny input to correct, it feels like there is a "slip" and the steering wheel moves a bit further than I would expect it ... interestingly this doesnt happen all the time just occasionally but more often while steering to the right than the left. I dont know if its the power steering kicking in or something about to go bad so I thought I try asking this knowledgeable community ... its a 08, V6 model, with 20" .. any ideas? cheers r4n
