I am getting this, i think it is related to a fuse that is not working but i cannot find the fuse that covers that. i had other failures but electrically they have been fixed one by one, car was in a flood. ideas / suggestions?
Hi All, I'm new to the forum here. I have a 1998 Boxster which had been lovely to me until recently when I began experiencing issues with the top. Same story, different time... one of the cables broke, didn't realize it, something got bent. Don't know what. So.. I've disconnected the front arms from the convertible top, and also taken the push rods off of the clamshell so that I can operate it manually. Even with the clamshell operating manually, the clamshell sits ~1-2" too high on the right hand side, and must be forced down! Please don't say the transmissions are not in sync, as
Hello, I'm looking for a Diagram or Info on routing the throttle cable? Recently had the engine out and upon reinstalling I'm finding the tab where the rear cable section (to engine) connects to the front cable section (to cockpit) doesn't have quite enough slack. If I reassemble correctly it keeps the throttle plate cracked open resulting in a 3000 RPM Idle! LOL I have the Porsche factory PDFs that are floating around but have yet to see the cable routing & adjusting info. My convertible top stopped working on my 2004 Boxster S. After researching the possible causes I discovered that the driver-side pushrod attached to the V-lever was bent and the plastic tip broken. The passenger side pushrod appeared intact. I replaced both sides with new pushrods and tips and made sure that the length of both were exact and the same as the pushrod on the passengers side. All seemed well and the mechanism attempted to raise and lower the top but the leading edge of the top would catch on the back of the driver-side rollbar during the raise operation.
