A week ago I replaced my weak battery. After the replacement, my cruise control dash light won't come on, and the cruise control won't function. Fuse appears to be good. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have just read several posts on this site about retrofitting a cruise control system to a Boxster 987 with great interest. My 07 Boxster S has all the extras except cruise control which I would really like to add. Until now I had thought this would be a huge job involving additional parts to the engine etc. I see however that in fact it only needs the hand controls added which is really quite amazing. Unfortunately the posts are from around 2007 so I am not sure whether these parts are still available. Has anyone done this mod recently and if so what were you experiences in terms of acquiring the necessary components? Many thanks
Hi guys, Looking for a little help. Just replaced the alternator and everything was fine for a couple of days. Then CEL comes on steady, along with the cruise control light, temperature light, and low fuel light. The tachometer is also not working. Everything else (gauges, etc) is fine and car is running great. Put my OBD scanner and NO codes come up at all. I think it might be a grounding problem, but am not sure. Anyone see anything like this? Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Al Nugent 2005 Carrera 4S Cabriolet. 26,600 miles.
