blytha posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Just a quick question. I've replaced my post cat Lambda sensor with one of these, due to a P0160 code (bank 2 post cat issue), now the car is giving P0050 and P0154 errors (bank 2 pre cat issue). I’m in a quandary now, as I have just gone on there to check for a Pre cat O2 sensor and noticed that the date for the part I fitted was 09/01 – 07/04 and was wondering whether the part I fitted was wrong? No errors on post cat sensor! My car is a 2005 C4S with and M96.03 engine. Also is it usual for one sensor to be replaced just for one that is not replaced to throw an error Any help appreciated. If the parts are interchangeable I'll get the pre cat sensor to go with it, otherwise I'll have to find the correct part. regards, Anthony

I recently had my CEL come on and it was throwing an MAF code along with a P0160. Since I sprayed out my MAF about a year ago, I decided to replace it, and got the above codes. I replaced my bank 2 post cat sensor, which was on the topside of the exhaust on the drivers side (pipes cross in the back)...let me tell you it was tough to get out, even with an 02 tool. But I got it and replaced it with a a Bosch O2 sensor, same number and all. Cleard the codes and still I get the same. Also, I can nearly watch my fuel gague moving, I burned about 1/3 tank on a 40 mile trip... (I know we can all do that when we try, but this time I wasn't trying, I was driving sensible!!) From all of the reading I have done, this seems to be an electrical issue. I am not very well versed in ohms, volts and amps I am afraid. Am I at the end of my DIY path on this one? Any suggestions...is it possible the new 02 sensor is bad? It was bought from Pelican. Thanks in advance for all of the help! T
