New Tyres: 18" Turbo wheels

Recommended Posts

Shortly looking for new rubber. Currently have Pirelli zeros on my 18" wheels with sports susp.

Any recommendations vis a vis rubber Co?? My own view on existing rubber is that they grip well but wear out more quickly than others....

So what are you looking for? Better performance or longevity? For performance MPSC, for longevity SO2s or Contis. Many choose MPS2s all around.

Don't cut corners on the tires. Go with a high end brand and stay away from Kumho <_<

Hombre,

Yo tengo buena suerte con Kumho's. Had both summer and All seaons on my 99 from Kumho. But I also swap wheels to Falken RT615 for track days. But where I live, nunca nieve, not a lot of lluvia, and I don't drive too agressive on the road to need really high performance tires that badly. But if I lived in Europe.......

I'm very happy with Dunlop 9090, but I have never taken my 2000C4 on the track...yet!

Goodyear F1 GSD3's are great multipurpose tire. Also, the new RE050A Pole Positions (Bridgestone) are supposed to be awesome and significantly less expensive than the SO3's they replace! Both are excellent tires. Why pay more for MPS2's just because they are "Porsche Approved"!!

I agree, the RT615 son increibles en la calle tambien. I just don't want to use them up in my daily driver.

But last night, installed the RT's wheels and Pagid orange pads since I am going to the track on Friday, and won't have time with business trips to do my swap Thursday.

So the car stops on a dime and sticks to the road como pega de carpinteria.

I had Pirelli P-Zeros on my '99 but switched to Michelin Pilot Sports tires and loved them. Great handling and ride, and quiet by comparison, not to mention great tread pattern.

Hello. My last three cars (C43 AMG, Boxster, Carrera) have had Continental SportContact2 tires. They are just fine for any reasonably sane speeds on public roads, wet or dry.
