Drivers window out of alignment....

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a problem which is hopefully easily solved. My drivers side window is not aligned properly when closed; a large gap is left between the window and rear pillar. It closes on the rubber though, so no water gets in, but it's not nearly as flush as the passenger side. I have included a picture:

Thanks!

Remove the door panel, There are 2 rubber plugs capping over 2 holes behind the door panel cover, 3 inches below the top of the door itself. Once you take those plugs off, you'll see inside those holes is a Torx' bolt... Loosen both of them... by loosening them, you are releasing the clamp that holds the glass from lifting out. Now, Be gentle and give it a very slight nudge moving it backwards about 1mm at a time until you think you got it where you want it... Then tighten the torx bolts and close the door to see if your where you want to be. Adjust as needed.
