Hello,

I am new to RENNTECH, looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable people here. I have a ’04 Cayenne S with a Radio/CD player and CDC. I purchased a PCM E1 Navigation unit with all the antennas and phone to replace the other radio. Is there anything I should know before I start tackling this switch?

Thanks,

Dave

:welcome:

The 13 page PCM 2.1 Installation TSB is available here to view for our Contributing Members.

:clapping: Thank you Loren...

I'm really confused... I was reading some of the posting about the difference between a PCM1 and a PCM2. I purchased a "PCM E1" see image, for my '04 Cayenne S and the unit was suppose to come out of a Cayenne. According to the postings, the PCM1 is an older model and has a tape deck and 6 buttons on the left side but the unit I bought has 10 buttons and is CD. Anyone know what I bought and if it is going to work in my '04 Cayenne?

on the US 03/04 model there is no telephone support, the sim tray is inoperable.

If the unit you have has the phone icons its most likely not a US model.

That looks exactly like the PCM I have on my 2003 Turbo. It needs the SIM Card Tray replacing so if you have trouble fitting & want to sell please let me know.

I think you're correct. I am in the UK.
