What car is the rosette on?
:lol: Porsche's term for certain decorative trim pieces is "rose". They call the trim around the ignition switch that as well as the trim around the rear panel where the seat belt hides inside the panel. There are probably more but those two come to mind.

Apologies for reviving a three year old thread, but... I just purchased a carbon fiber ignition rosette and want to remove the old one, and install the new one. I've looked at a large number of DIY and other articles regarding the changing of the ignition switch, here on RT and on the net, but no one addresses the removal of the rosette. I assume that it is drop dead simple, and just pulls out? I just wanted to confirm this before I try to pry it out, that's kind of a sensitive part of the car. Thanks

Yes, it just pulls straight out.
