Looking for info on the 02 Facelift

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been toying with the idea to give my 01 an 02 facelift. What would I need besides the 02 headlights and front end? How involved is the upgrade? My current front end has a slight ding which will require new front bumper and I figure spending a little more for a different front end all together. Perhaps with GT3 front end. *I do have Halogen headlights

Thanks for any feedback :clapping:

You will need front fenders, bumper, headlights (and re-wiring) plus some small odds and ends.

It can be done - but it won't be cheap.

Thnx Loren...I love the odds and ends. There are similar threads but nothing specific, like more of a breakdown on needed items. Will search the net for kits. Recommend any kits?

This looks interesting for 996 to 997 for $5K:

Apparently Hamann has a conversion too for 996 to 997. Can't find how to actually buy it!

Well, there are still a lot of variables that make up the "odd and ends".

How many plastic rivets will you break taking the wheel well liners off? What type of front bumper will you use? some will require different mounting hardware. Do you have the (pin removal) tools for the electrical re-wiring? and possibly plug/socket replacements.

Porsche does not make a kit - so any kit will be after market -- my guess is you will still have some fitting to do.
