front grill insert

Recommended Posts

Just saw this looking around on the web.thispiece.jpg

and wanted to know if anyone knows if I can purchase this piece.

I like the look of the three grills and it looks like this piece is a bolt on for maybe manual transmission cars that have the third radiator on them

Oh and if it is a Porsche part does anyone know the part number?

Thanks

Model year car?

US or RoW?

Standard front bumper or aerokit?

The only information I can find about that car is that it is an 03 Boxster S

I do not see any information about if the front bumper is a kit or not

Found the picture over on ppbb the owner goes by voxster.

Im also trying to track him down to ask about it.

And, what model year car do you want to put it on?

Sorry my minds not with it today....

Looking to put it on an '01 US boxster

I looked around and see that center grill on a bunch of them, Im searching through pelican parts but haven't seen it yet.

That center cover (and the bumper it fits) changed in MY03 - I do not know if it will fit an older car.

Just saw this front bumper on an 01 S - US automatic on ebay.

wounder if I could contact suncoast and see if they might know. It looks like the center grill is a "bolt on" piece.

wish I still had my autobody crash books

I suspect that if you replace the whole bumper it will work fine. My comments were about using the newer part on an old bumper (unless I misunderstood you).

well I would just like the center grill, but if I have to get the whole bumper I'm okay with that. My front bumper has seen better days, the last owner was a firm believer in "park by feel" and it has some dents and scratches in it.

I just cant find a part number for that style bumper, suncoast and pelican only show my two grill style.

What is the cut off point for which bumpers are interchangeable, I have an 01 US model, and would like something more aggressive looking.

Thanks

Hey man,

It's Bryan (aka damntall, aka The Voxster)... Not sure if you got this resolved with me back in Oct, but I just ran across this thread by accident. You get your questions answered about my front bumper? Here's what the car looks like with skirts on now:

The whole thread at PPBB is at:

If you need more details on who makes it and where to get it, drop me an email at bryan@sbcglobal.net.
