Fully de-ambered

cool.

although i kinda like the amber on Speed Yellow. but, it looks good either way. ;)

you should get a silver hood crest now, too.

i noticed that your 3rd radiator surround is silver. did you do that?

i like your wheels as well. are they Sport Classic IIs? they look good painted like that.

do you have a clear 3rd brake light (uses red LEDs) as well? you can get one at Bumperplugs.com (along with a QUALITY silver hood crest - i had to return 3 defective ones to another company before i ordered a good one from Bumperplugs). Bumperplugs has 2 styles of 'clear' 3rd brake lights: one is fully clear where the lights are and silver on the sides (this is the one that i have and prefer), and the other one is what i would call 'smoked', although i think they call it 'clear'. i think i paid $60-$70 for it and it looks great.

you might also try a 987 clear 3rd brake light. the shape looks similar to the 986 brake light, so i have wondered if it would fit and if it would work. i think the 987 clear brake light looks the best of all the 'clear' 3rd brake lights. you could always return it if it didn't work. want to be the guinea pig for the the entire 986 community?

Well, I plan on putting European deck lid which covers 3rd brake light entirely. I also plan on putting Aero kit spoiler with 3rd brake light, so that takes care of it. As of center radiator surround, that was like that when I got her. I've been shopping for a new bumper cover for a couple of months now w/o luck.

Wheels are actually hugely expensive set BSA 215AF. I paid $370 shipped on Ebay!

I actually found 'reasonably' priced bumper cover yesterday from Ebay.

So upcoming weekends I have bumpercover, 996 cluster and aftermarket sideintakes and a couple of smaller things to install.... :D :D :D

You're swapping for a 996 bumper cover? Is there anything wrong with your present bumper? I guess I don't see how this will make an improvement over the present appearance. If you are putting on an aerokit spoiler, I'd go with something like a GT3 bumper instead (just my opinion).

Tow company moran forgot to take right side tie-down away before starting to lower her from the flatbed. That ripped a small crack strting from right wheelwell. They reimbused me for a repair, not replacement. So used cover ($189 shipped) + paint is pretty much paid for and it makes it look a little different. I cannot afford a $800-1200 cover at the moment, although I love the TechArt one.

I have my other mods, like 996 cluster on the works, so $$ is a little tied up now.

I had already planned to do this, when I (equally moran) had a little meeting with a orange barrel size pylon the other day. No bigger harm, I was lucky. Mild scratches on the left front fender, which I almost got fixed just by trying to wax it a little. Also a little more damages on the bumper.
