Will a 997 GT3 deck lid fit on a 996 C2?

You may also want to check out Misha in CA. I bought their GT3 bumper (OEM lip and chin spoilers), GT2M wing with GT3 harness, and GTM bumper, they also installed mesh in all bumper vent openings as well as the vents in the wing. The kit looks fantastic!

the answer is that you bould be able to bolt it on, but it the gaps would be all wrong. hes a link to a site i found a while back http://212.67.202.62/~clubauto/996_to_997_conversion.htm , it shows them doing a 997 conversion on a 996 and as you can see they have had to modify the wiper panel in pics 10/11. i suspect that the 997 tailgate is also slightly shorter, since the bumper rises up to meet it. also, i put 997 lights into the back of my 996 and found that the profile of the lights is different where it meets the tailgate.

i think you could get it to fit, but only with massive amounts of modification. i was thinking about this before, what would stop you, cutting the spoiler part off the 997 gt3 engine cover and bonding/moulding it to your original engine cover, most decent bodyshops should be up to that.
