New key remote head

Hello folks.....,

For the ones who are looking for a new remote head for there Boxster and don't want to pay $400.00...i just ordered a new one for my 1999 Boxster at Sunset Import Dealership in Oregon.Very good price at $96.00.....

And how are you going to program it to your 986? While Yes the $400 is extremely excessive it usually includes programming so it actually works on your car. Do you have a PST2 or access to one?

But if all you need is the top plate because the rubber buttons have failed then your all set.

Before to buy the head i called my Porsche Dealer and asked them how much for programing....

The guy said $60.00...not so expensive...isn't it

So the head $96.00 plus a new key blade $8.00 plus programing $60.00 = $164.00.

Wow that is a bargain compared with the $400.00..
