convertible latch mechanism loose

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 996 carrera 4 convertible. The convertible top latches to the top of the window frame. The whole unit with the interior lights and switches is coming loose (where the hook latches to). I was trying to see if there was any screws but I can't see any. Does anybody know how to tighten the unit? It's loose now and the convertible top has a gap because of it

Thanks

Kristian

Remove the cover then the screws.

Thanks, I have to take a closer look on the part again.

Kristian

Thanks again,

I tightened the screws on the part and it seems like it has been loose as long as I have owned the car. I got rid off all small rattles and squeekes by tightening them up.
