Code P0410

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Anybody have any luck with the dreaded code P0410 - secondary air injection system. This car is a 97 993. This is the code that leads to the removal of the engine, flushing of the ports and valve job. Does anybody have more information on this code, I could not find much while using the search feature. Thanks much in advance.

When I left the dealer hadn't had the problem with 97s, but on the 95-96 there is no choice but do a valve guide job. i used to keep a set of heads in stock to reduce the down time of the car. If you are the original owner contact PCNA and see if they will give you any assistance.

Wow-

I have been thinking of buying a 993 [997 look alike], does that code really mean you guy's need to tear down your top end.

If you do not know much about Porsche's I think people can mistake the 997 for a 993.

I have not seen one [997] yet, but the pictures make them look similar.
