Door mirror removal / construction

Unfortunaly the other day an old lady broke the shell and glass on my door mirror. I have taken a look about and can get the plastic shell and glass as separate components. from reading the forums I have seen that the removal of the inside triangle plastic panel that covers the bolts that hold the mirror on is by levering out the bottom and sliding it up. Does anyone have any pictures of the door mirror parts (like the part picture that comes up on the screen when you order a part), so that I can see how to get the until apart to replace the shell. Also, have I understood correctly how to get the inside plastic triangle off.

Would have put this through my insurance, however it would be hard to prove that the lady (must and been at least 75), was wondering onto my side of the road, and I will only end up paying $$$$ in excess insurance payments.

oh well, its only a door mirror and no one was hurt.
