I replaced the convertible top on my 2000 cabriolet and neither the new top nor the existing headliner has a zipper pull to reattach the two. Does anyone know where I can get a zipper pull for this? The only option I found is to buy a new headliner!

i dont have an answer, but was wonder how hard is it to replace the top?

It turned out to be easier than I anticipated. I worked slow and spent about 7 or 8 hours total. I took pictures and notes during the removal, and also have the Porsche removal/installation instructions. Turned out great. The only problem I had is when the top retracted by itself from the service position when left over night. I then tried to use the manual closing mechanism and stupidly turned the allen key the wrong way and broke of the drive socket.

I got a zipper from a fabric store and used the pull from that.

Thanks, but I have tried many different zippers from the local upholstery shops, and have not found any that work. I think the correct term of what I need is the slider, and it appears the Porsche zipper is thinner than the any sliders I've found.

Sorry for so many questions, from the Porsche Service manual, it says you need to have the "Tension Bow Seal, Corner Bow Seal, and Filter piece" I assume that I can reuse all the bolts..... did you need the seals? where did you get them?
