Hi - I am looking at buying a 2004 Cayenne S (80k Km). Is there a checklist around to help me figure out what to look for?

Also does the Cayenne have a built in ODB code reader so I can see what historically happened in the vehicle?

any help will be great.

Thanks

If you can, spring for at least a 2005 Cayenne. Too many 04 Cayenne have problems with the coils, coolant tools and other electrical problems. If you are dead set on an 04, make sure to test drive it, have it checked by a reputable Porsche mechanic and get a CPO warranty.

Good luck.

There are some good 2004 Cayennes out there, especially those built towards the end of the build cycle. There are also some bad ones. You'll really want the service history, and I would strongly consider a warranty.

If you can find a 2005 or later you'll be less likely to have problems.
