Headlight bulb on all the time

Recommended Posts

I have litronics. Anytime I have the lights on, there is a non-litronics light that stays on in my passengerside headlight. When I turn on the brights, it gets brighter and when I just have the parking lights its on. Any idea how to make this turn off?

Thanks,

Nazz

Is the light on with the idicators off?

On RoW cars, if you park your car and leave the idicator column shift

so that the idicators are flashing, then you turn your ignition off

and remove key, the parking light will stay on.

Failing that, sounds like a wiring problem. Maybe a fuse gone somewhere.

Did you do any wiring?

As far as I can tell, when I just turn on the parking lights, both parking lights turn on as well as that bulb on the passengerside only. I didn't do any wiring, it was that way when I bought the car. I pulled the headlight out but there isn't much to it, just two plugs that can only connect one way. I'm not sure what else to check.

Could it be something in the wiring harness for the litronics? I don't remember, but I think they were installed from the factory and not added on which wouldn't make any sense why they aren't operating correctly.

Thanks,

Nazz

So that is something that I can change myself? Is it a 9006 or similar type bulb? If that is correct, then you will see a blue litronics light and a yellow 'city' light? If that is truely the case, then I feel relieved.

Thanks for the advice, I've been asking this question (and others which have since been answered) for about a month on other boards with no success. Renntech rocks!

Thanks,

Nazz
