Has anyone noticed some anti-freeze residue around the blue cap? Porsche tells me it is normal for a little bit of the anti-freeze to seep out when it is real hot, he pointed out that the little drain going back into the tank is there to catch it.

Any comments on this?

You need to change the reservoir tank cap every two years because it starts to break down and not work right. It cost around $20 and change it yourself when the engine is cold.

Anti-freeze (or coolant) leaking out of ANY cap is not normal, whether it is on a Porsche coolant reservoir or on top of a radiator.

Tell the dealer that the "little drain" does not go back into the tank. It is there to catch overflow "incidents" and it drains down onto the ground, through a small rubber drain tube.

Regards, Maurice.
