"Cayenne Turbo" Logo for Spare Wheel Cover

Recommended Posts

I am the proud owner of a new 2004 Cayenne Turbo! I've been eyeballing them since their initial release and finally took the plunge. I think it will be an excellent vehicle for our Alaskan environment. I look forward to spending more quality time in it this winter, than I was ever able to spend in my 911C4S.

I am in the process of installing the Spare Wheel Cover on the externally-mounted full-size spare. This was a very functional option for me, and I have high hopes for the final look. The cover is being painted today to match the color of the CT.

I thought I would be able to quickly complete the install, but was disappointed to learn that the cover did not arrive with the "Cayenne Turbo" script logo as shown in the photos I had seen in the Tequipment book. Apparently, the logo is a separate item that must be ordered and affixed to the cover:

955.559.038.00.4W9 Cayenne Turbo Logo, color: satin aluminum

My dealer did not have this item in stock and has ordered it for me. Unfortunately, it is backordered until the end of September.

Any suggestions on where to find this item in less than a month's time? I appreciate your input, and will post photos when the work is completed.

Thanks,

Attached is the photo I promised of the finished Spare Tire Cover installation. The dealer painted it to match my CT's Titanium Metallic color. The missing logo miraculously appeared at the dealership overnight. I am pleased with the final look.

BTW, the Spare Wheel Carrier is very stout and seems to be engineered quite well. It sure allows for peace of mind when traveling out in the sticks to know I've got a full-size spare with me!
