Factory nav in a non-nav 997 C2S?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am looking at a low mileage CPO C2S that has the Bose High End sound package, Sport Chrono Plus and the 6 Disc changer but no navigation. Is it a possible to put in the factory nav unit? I'd be interested in keeping the stock unit, despite the limitations of the factory system. I am not looking for instructions, more of just a yes/no if it can be done.

Thanks!

This should take you 45minutes to 2.5 hours based on how familiar you are with the vehicle but as Loren mentioned it is not a difficult process at all. I have seen the TSBs and used them myself to install the changer, took me 30 minutes.

Here is a great write-up to consider when doing the install. This is a nice addition to the TSB that Loren mentions above.

Make sure that the navigation drive matches the model year of your car and PCM. You may also need to buy a new map update and update discs from porsche as part of the bundle if not buying the retro fit kit. This is sometimes required to update the navigation unit and PCM to the latest software so it can use the newer map.
