I hope my fellow Cayenne owners can help.

Lately, I have been hearing and feeling a soft clunk coming from the rear brakes on my CS. I happens when I am in reverse. I am backing up and I apply the brakes to slow down. Right before the car comes to a stop, I hear and feel a clunk from what I believe is the rear brake calipers. I've checked the calipers and they are tightened properly. I am thinking that it may be the pads moving around when the calipers grip and bring the rotors to a stop.

Anyone else experience this issue? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

It's very hard to say where the noise is coming from. It is possible to be caused from the brake pads shifting when loaded. I have never come across any problems in this area with the Cayenne so it's best to remove a wheel for inspection.
