Step by step instruction on how to replace a front joint boot on a 996

Recommended Posts

After lots of research on the forum and even a PM to Loren I was looking if some one can help me with a step by step instruction on how to replace a front joint boot on a 996 C4, the last time I worked on it (to change the front dif oil seal) it was very very hard but I'm sure there is a simpler way to do all this stuff... unfortunately I don't have the Porsche technical manual but only the PET, so if anyone have a DIY documentation it would be great to share it there...

Thank you in advance!

If you just changed your diff fluid you should not have to fight with joints or boots... 3 months ago I had to replace the right oil seal of the diff so I had to remove the left joint to change it, the boot instead is on the wheel side and it's the number 13 in the picture..
